Marshall 2525 Mini Jubilee - Product Demo

collapse expand iconDescription

The JCM25/50 Silver Jubilee Series was produced in 1987 to celebrate 25 years of Marshall Amplification and 50 years of Jim Marshall being in the music business. Inspired by this acclaimed series, the 20-watt Mini Jubilee combo and "small box" head combine classic Silver Jubilee preamp tone, features and styling in a lower power, "mini" design.

This contemporary "mini" take on the Jubilee Series features an ECC83 and EL34 valve set, High/Low output switching (20W to 5W), FX Loop and independent 4/8/16 ohm speaker outputs. The 2525C combo is loaded with a single 12” Celestion G12M Greenback speaker.

In keeping with classic Jubilee tone, the 2525C Mini Jubilee features preamp circuitry taken from the 2555X, which was launched in 2015, and made using the original diagrams. The amp also features classic silver vinyl and chrome-plated paneling to complete the Jubilee look.

It's expertly crafted, designed, engineered and constructed to the highest possible standards at the Marshall factory in Bletchley, England.

The Silver Jubilee 2525c is the ideal amp for my needs. I have used Marshall amps since 1980, and I have always loved their sound and quality. The 2525c does everything you would expect from a Marshall tube amp, and it sounds amazing! The clean tones are really nice but the Marshall crunch is just what you'd expect.

  • This amp is fantastic!

I bought this for the dry channel in a wet/dry/wet rig. I was surprised by it's volume even at 5 watts. Works well and has no problem keeping up with my 40 watt tube amps in my wet channel. The sound is fantastic as well.

This is the perfect amp for me.It has the gain I need and has a great clean channel. I've had an original JCM800 and this is much better. The 5 watt setting is powerful but won't melt you're face off.The 20 watt setting is very powerful. This amp is perfect and I will always keep it

Where to start? This amp is simply incredible. Don't get me wrong. I don't love everything about it. In particular, I'm not in love with how compressed it gets when using the rythm clip for crunch. However, I will let that slide for two reasons. #1. The lead channel is smooth as butter, without a hint of any mud. Just crystal clear in it's distorted saturation. #2. The clean channel. I know this isn't something Marshall is known for, but by Odin's beard this clean channel puts a lot of Fenders to shame. Even if I didn't like the lead channel at all, I would still keep this and use pedals because of how good it sounds clean. Absolutely superb tone. My only other gripe is the lack of an on board reverb. But even that is completely forgivable when the amp sounds this good. So to recap. The clean up to and including edge of breakup is the best I've encountered on any amp ever. The rythm clip which provides your "crunch" mode is too compressed, and the lead channel is exactly what you want from a marshall. IMHO if you good crunch tones. Use a pedal. You will also need a pedal for reverb but the amp has an fx loop. So no issue there. Trust me. You will not be disappointed with amp.

Thanks for the feedback! It appears that the Features section lists the incorrect preamp tubes. Preamp valves 2 x ECC83, 1 x ECC83 Power amp valves 2 x EL34.
