Description
The Martin 000-18 Standard Auditorium acoustic guitar is a testament to Martin's legacy of crafting exceptional acoustic instruments. This guitar seamlessly blends vintage inspiration with modern enhancements, delivering a balanced and articulate tone that's perfect for singer-songwriters and acoustic soloists. With its solid Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides, the 000-18 captures the rich, resonant sound of classic Martins, while its comfortable neck and modern appointments ensure effortless playability.
Solid Tonewoods Deliver Legendary Martin Sound
The 000-18's all-solid wood construction, featuring a Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides, provides the resonant, complex tone that Martin Guitars are known for. The spruce top offers a punchy attack with bell-like chime, while the mahogany body adds depth, warmth, and sustain. Together, these premium tonewoods produce a vintage-inspired voice that cuts through mixes with articulate clarity and projection.
Short Scale Neck and Modified Profile for Effortless Playability
Martin designed the 000-18's neck for comfort and precision. At 24.9", the short scale length reduces string tension for easy fretting, while the modified low-oval profile with Performing Artist taper provides an ergonomic shape for all playing styles. The 1.75" nut width and 2-3/16" string spacing strike a balance between space for complex chords and nimble single-note runs.
Golden Era Bracing and Modern Enhancements
This Martin acoustic guitar features Golden Era (GE) bracing, a key innovation that enhances the guitar's sustain and gives it a more vintage, "breathy" tone. This bracing pattern, inspired by Martin's historic designs, allows the guitar's tone to blossom with exceptional clarity and resonance. The 000-18 also includes modern playability enhancements such as a thinner fingerboard with a comfort bevel edge, ensuring a comfortable and effortless playing experience.
Timeless Details and Premium Appointments
From the distressed sunburst finish to the vintage logo on the headstock, the 000-18 exudes classic Martin charm. Tortoise binding edges the solid mahogany body in retro flair, while open-geared tuners with butterbean knobs offer a traditional look with smooth tuning action. An included hardshell case protects this heirloom-quality instrument so you can enjoy its tone and style for generations.

Amazing Guitar!

I'm just a bedroom guitarist, but I do like well-built, high-quality Martin guitars. I've owned a Martin D-28, a D-X2E, and the 000-X2E and this ranks up there at the top with the D-28. Sounds incredible! Smooth mellow tones.🎵🎵 It's also a great heirloom to pass down from generation to generation.

How does the 2025 000-18 standard differ from the 2024?
Key Updates in the 2025 Martin 000-18 Golden Era (GE) Scalloped Bracing The 2025 model features GE-style scalloped Sitka spruce bracing, previously exclusive to Martin's Modern Deluxe series. This bracing offers a more vintage-inspired tone with increased resonance and sustain. Reimagined Neck Profile Martin has introduced a GE Modified Low Oval neck shape with a High-Performance Taper, providing a more comfortable grip and smoother playability across the fretboard. Thinner Fingerboard and Refined Bridge The fingerboard has been made thinner, and the bridge and heel have been refined to enhance both aesthetics and playing comfort. Aesthetic Enhancements The 2025 model includes subtle visual updates, such as an aging toner top, black binding, and nickel open-gear tuners, contributing to its vintage appeal.
