This guitar is amazing! I already have a Martin Special Road Series and was in love with it for years, but I have arthritis in my shoulder and hands and the dreadnought size was becoming more uncomfortable to play for long periods of time. I impulsively bought this guitar and the smaller body does wonders for my shoulder. It's very easy to play and has a beautiful, rich sound. It compliments my fingerpicking style perfectly. The small size makes it's easier to travel with and way more comfortable for people to play especially with smaller statures or similar arthritic problems. It has very quick action and the projection doesn't take much of a hit with the smaller body at all. Overall, I'm extremely impressed and ecstatic I found a guitar that works physically better for me. I truly can't say enough about Martin guitars. The quality and craftsmanship is there whether is made in Mexico or the US. My only side note is that Martin ships their guitars without the bottom guitar strap button to prevent cracking/damage and my experience with guitar center (at least this one in North Charleston) in particular is that they will not set it back up unless you ask. Or if you want to attach it yourself, make sure you get that piece with it when you get your guitar.
I like it

My journey for finding the right guitar me began a month ago. After visiting many music stores and testing dozens of acoustics within all price ranges - I finally found the one! The wide neck was a must for me as I find them easier for chord grabbing. The feel of the guitar and the warm tones are just beutiful. The technician lowered the action a bit during the set up and in the end - perfection!
Sooo Pretty and toned

This guitar has a look I love, it shines and is even in appearance all over, Its size makes it easier to carry around the house, I did not realize it was a Mexico built guitar, but it's sound says it all, it has a solid ring which projects very well, I think it's sound is unique due to the body being totally made of sapele wood. I nicknamed my guitar MJ for short, it's a star for me, my favorite to take along camping.
I would totally recomend this guitar

Wasn't planning to purchase a guitar just test them out. Went into my local Guitar Center Danvers Ma store to see if I could try both the Taylor GS Mini, and the Martin Jr First, I want to commend the store for the excellent service I received was able to test first a GS Mini nice little guitar nice sound but not a lot nicer than the travel guitar I currently own and the neck was a bit cramped to play. The service tech couldn't find a Martin Jr in the display room so while I was testing the Mini He went a got a brand new Martin 000c Jr-10e Streetmaster for me to try I played it and fell in love with it. The sound was awesome for a smaller guitar no harshness, and no tendency to be balanced to much toward the tremble Lows, highs and mids were very balanced and there was a smoothness to the sound of the guitar having the larger 1.75 width neck made just the difference I needed and the set up was perfect great feel, easy to play and the sound was excellent my wife said get it for your bithday and I did and to boot the sales tech gave me a 10% discount on the guitar awesome guitar and awesome service couldn't ask for more. I've had it about a week now and just keep enjoying it more as the new strings have settled in it keeps tune very well and I love the richlite fretboard very smooth feeling and does not seem to be easily affected by changes in heat or humidity like the Roseeood fretboard on my other travel guitar All I can say is its and excellent guitar well made and plays extremely well I recommend it highly for anyone needing a great playing, sounding guitar for travel or just to have a smaller guitar Thank you Guitar Center and Thank you Martin for such a fine instrument
