Martin C1K Concert Ukulele Natural

Description
The Martin C1K Concert Ukulele Natural delivers the signature sound quality and craftsmanship you expect from Martin. This concert-sized ukulele features a solid koa top, back and sides for a rich, melodic tone with ample projection. The all-koa construction gives the C1K a warm, balanced tone with clear, ringing notes across the tonal spectrum. The satin finish enhances the natural beauty of the koa wood grain. With its comfortable concert body size, the C1K is ideal for any player looking for full, resonant tone in a portable size.
Solid Koa Wood Construction Produces a Warm, Nuanced Tone
The C1K is crafted from solid koa, a wood native to Hawaii prized for ukulele and guitar construction. Koa delivers a warm yet articulate tone with complex overtones, and its density helps produce volume and sustain. The all-koa build gives the C1K a lush, resonant voice with a woody midrange, crisp treble and rich bass. The satin finish allows the koa's natural beauty to shine through while protecting the wood.
Concert Size Offers Comfort and Projection
With its concert size, the C1K provides a comfortable playing experience for most hand sizes while offering more volume and bass response than a soprano ukulele. The concert body helps the C1K produce full, ringing tone with clear, articulate notes. Whether strumming chords or fingerpicking melodies, the C1K concert ukulele cuts through with ease.
Legendary Martin Craftsmanship and Quality
For over 100 years, Martin has been producing premium ukuleles and guitars renowned for their tone, playability and durability. The C1K is built using time-honored techniques and the highest quality materials by skilled craftsmen in Martin's Mexico facility. With its solid wood construction, comfortable size and resonant voice, the Martin C1K concert ukulele is an instrument you'll enjoy playing for years to come.

Great Martin Uke

I have been playing string instruments for over 50 years. I have had an interest in ukes for sometime an decided to buy a concert size. I read many reviews and started to focus on the Martin C1K. Most reviews were positive but some were negative, which is to be expected, as everyone has their own expectations for what good product should be. My Martin arrived and I went over every aspect of it very closely. It was excellent. The uke plays well, sounds very good and the workmanship was really very good. I even liked the wood my uke was made from. The 5 stars is based on the price point, it is not meant to compare with $1000 plus priced ukes. This was a great choice for me and I would highly recommend this uke to everyone. It looks and plays like many of the older Martin ukes that I have handled. My experience with this uke and with Guitar Center was very positive.

The uke arrived as promised.. I have to say I was a little nervous opening the box but it was exactly what I wanted. The color was a beautiful satin koa.. absolutely no imperfections. I have spent the first couple of days tuning but the strings are now pretty settled in.. Love the sound.. This is so easy to play & I would recommend to anyone looking to explore the ukulele. FUN..!!!

Very very happy with this purchase. Its solid quality without the flair. So you pay for the quality of the music and not the look. The tuning pegs are top quality here too which will make a significant difference down the road. The only thing I am thinking about changing is the strings - but thats such a minor thing in the big picture. This uke will be with me and my family for a lifetime. Buy quality so that your kids will have it one day!
5 star Uke. Plays and sound amazing.
