Martin

collapse expand iconDescription

Martin Guitar's StreetMaster Series D-15M dreadnought acoustic guitar is built for the working musician. Martin Guitar is proud to offer this rugged, tonally complex instrument. Its solid mahogany body and neck produce a lush, balanced tone with piano-like bass, airy treble and a hint of midrange scoop, reminiscent of a well-loved vintage instrument. A distressed satin finish imparts an authentically worn look, while the modified low-oval neck profile and Plek'd frets keep the playing experience smooth and comfortable.

Solid Mahogany Construction Sings With Warmth and Nuance

All-mahogany guitars have a special sonic character and the StreetMaster D-15M is no exception. Its solid mahogany top, back and sides impart a rich, dimensional voice with woody overtones, ample projection and a tone that opens up over time. The mahogany neck also enhances sustain and resonance. Whether fingerpicking, strumming or flatpicking, this mahogany dreadnought provides a balanced, versatile canvas for a range of playing styles.

Distressed Finish Looks Well-Loved, Plays Like New

While the StreetMaster D-15M may appear lived-in, its playability is that of a new instrument. Martin finished the mahogany components to resemble a vintage guitar that has stood the test of time, but its modified low-oval neck profile, 1-3/4" nut width and Plek'd frets make playing a breeze. The distressed satin finish gives the D-15M a cool, rustic look that's meant to be taken on the road—and it comes with a gig bag so you can do just that.

Dreadnought Body is Loud and Proud

The StreetMaster D-15M dreadnought shape provides the projection and tonal focus that this body style is known for. Its larger size produces a bigger, bolder voice that cuts through a mix with ease. For recording, the dreadnought shape also captures a balanced tone that translates well to playback. Whether you're gigging at venues large or small or laying down tracks in the studio, the D-15M dreadnought is an excellent all-purpose acoustic guitar.

Premium Appointments Complete the Package

A rosewood bridge, multi-stripe rosette and katalox fingerboard provide attractive visual accents to the StreetMaster D-15M. Chrome open-gear tuners offer smooth, reliable tuning. SP Lifespan 92/8 Phosphor Bronze Light strings come installed for a bright, balanced tone. Overall, the D-15M is a compelling choice for working musicians seeking pro-level performance at a player-friendly price.

I was looking for a comfortable dreadnought guitar with a warm tone a booming sound.. found it! This guitar not only melts into your arms and very comfortable but has a fantastic sound. Of course I had to set it up and lower the action but after that it does Not disappoint. Its very lightweight for a dreadnought with a beautiful, rustic & warm look. I definitely recommend this guitar!

I've been playing for 55 years and own 30 guitars. I bought a StreetMaster DSS for my granddaughter as she needed an electric acoustic for High School music. I was really impressed by it and ordered a D-15M for myself. I really liked the look of the guitar and the mahogany has such a warm sound. It joins my Martin family, D-41, HD-28, D-28CE, D-1 and Baby Martin. There's a reason why over the years other guitar manufacturers advertised their products as "styled after the Martin D-28."

  • I'm super happy with my new Martin!!
