Martin for Martin

I have been using D'Addario exclusively on my instruments since discovering them in 1980 which includes several different types of stringed instruments from electric guitar to bass to banjo to dulcimer to violin to cello etc etc. But after purchasing two Martin guitars [6&12] I found that Martin strings sound the best on my Martin acoustics. It's Been exactly 25 years since I bought my first Martin and still prefer the Martin strings over any others I've tried. Tone is subjective so it's just what my ears prefer. They are not the longest lasting strings as far as holding new string tone but they are not too expensive so changing is not a financial drain. I otherwise have nothing negative to say about Martin strings.

Affordable, great sounding strings! For the price you can't really beat the sound. Sometimes I'll go with the coated Lifespan 2.0's but if its a new guitar and I'm still playing with the setup these will come on and off a few times and still play for weeks sounding great. You can pay more for coated strings or buy 2-3 packs of these.

  • I highly recommend

I put this on my Martin 000-17e. The strings are a bit bright at first, but I was told they would mellow out a bit after some use. Time will tell, but they seem very nice.

  • A great guitar deserves a great set of strings

Why wouldn't I trust Martin to string my Martin? Bright sound, durable, have been using for Martin strings for many years.
