Martin Guitar Nazareth Factory Tour Part 2

Description
Full Access to Every Fret
The Martin SC-10E Road Series acoustic-electric guitar features Martin’s patented Sure Align neck system, which makes it possible to reach even the highest frets because it gives you full access to the entire fretboard. With the Sure Align neck system, you never have to worry about not being able to play those leads all the way up the neck. The Martin SC-10E Road Series is also equipped with a low-profile velocity neck barrel, which ergonomically supports your hand as you move up the neck. This gives you the comfort and playability of an electric guitar.
Sapele Top With Sapele Back and Sides
The Martin SC-10E Road Series acoustic-electric guitar features a satin-finished sapele top with sapele back and sides. How does a sapele-constructed acoustic-electric guitar sound different from an acoustic-electric topped with spruce? Sapele delivers a sound very close to mahogany with added brightness and projection. With the onboard Fishman MX-T electronics, you can make the sweet sound of this Martin even louder by plugging it into your favorite amplifier or PA system.
Premium Features
Adding to this impressive Martin acoustic-electric guitar are a fifteen-style rosette inlay that’s complimented by a rosewood headplate, Richlite fingerboard, ebony bridge, and chrome tuners. Make this Martin SC-10E yours today.

Great design; questionable quality control

Overall, love the guitar. Great design and nicely setup. It delivers on the ergonomics and sounds great. But I've had some issues. The first one had a crack. Not a big deal. It happens. I returned it to the store with no problem and got a new one. I've had my 2nd one a month and the tuner and pickup have already stopped functioning. I've probably plugged it in at home 3 times. Never gigged, never even left my practice space. So now I either have to see if I return it again, try to get warranty service, or just pay to get the crappy electronics taken out and better ones installed. I know they are cheap electronics and I figured I'd upgrade them eventually, but what a pain to have them fail so quickly. I probably just got unlucky and I'd still recommend the instrument, but this is annoying a disappointing. My individual bad luck aside, it's a great instrument for the money. Again, super comfortable to play and really great sound. The tuners feel a little cheap, but that's to be expected as a place to cut costs. They have a bit too much slack when you change the direction you are turning them, but not horribly so. Overall, they function and hold their tuning just fine.
Love this guitar

For a Martin, this guitar has a relatively low price point but it just sounds great, even in my far less-than-professional hands. I've had it for just about a year and it's certainly the guitar I play most. Great Martin sound at a lower price point.

Honestly I had gone to GC to upgrade my Takamine GD11-mce and had my heart set on a Taylor 210ce. But I got in the acoustic room and tried the Taylor and it wasn't all that I expected. My wife handed me this Martin SC - 10e and said give this a try. What can I say - thanks hon!

I went to Guitar Center and played many guitars in the 1k price range and this one clearly stood out in terms of feel and tone. It absolutely sings and begs to be played. I noticed small tone and feel variances between different Martin SC-10E and Road Series guitars at the store. None were bad, but the one I chose felt right for me. If possible, play at the store and find the one that fits you best. The guitar you love is the guitar you will play and, for me, this guitar is it. My only minor complaint is the gig bag. I feel for a 1k guitar a hard case should be mandatory, but I do have to admit the gig bag is nice & sturdy as far as gig bags go! Many thanks to Guitar Center for the awesome customer service and great financing option.
Can't Put this Guitar Down!

After going to guitar center, I sat down with 30 guitars; all being Martins and Taylors. The second I picked up the SC-10E, I began to notice its beautiful tone, as well as the sheer comfort of playing it. The body, while unique is beautiful and extremely ergonomic. It contours to the body extremely well, and I can play for hour at a time and forget I'm holding a guitar. This guitar has a bright balanced tone, but with a surprising bass response. The Sapele body produces such a great tone, and reflects light nicely. The built in tuner, and the Fishman electronics are also great, producing a crisp, clear sound when plugged in. Overall, this guitar is everything I would ever want, and since I bought it I have had the BEST time playing! Highly recommend the SC-10E to anyone, from beginner to an advanced shredder. Trust me when I say the SC10-E Sapele is an innovative and timeless acoustic!
This is a great guitar

Body size question - I'm looking at this and the 000ce , how much larger in size is the sc 10 e?
The SC-10E has a slightly wider lower bout but is shallower in depth, making it feel more like a stage guitar with a modern, ergonomic design (especially with the deep cutaway and heel-less neck joint). The 000CE is more traditionally shaped, a bit deeper-bodied, and gives a boxier acoustic tone with a more classic feel on the lap or standing. In practical terms, the SC-10E is not significantly larger overall, but its shape makes it feel roomier and more comfortable to play, especially sitting down or when accessing high frets. If you’re sensitive to body depth (e.g., for comfort or feedback issues), the SC might actually feel smaller, despite being a little wider at the bottom.submitted7 months ago

So much talk about the sides and back . Can you explain what they are made of ... and what veneer means in this regard ? It's not solid wood on back and sides, right?
1) Sapele is a tropical hardwood that comes from the rainforests of West Africa. It's often called "sapele mahogany" because it's a member of the Meliaceae family. 2) Veneer can refer to a thin layer of wood or other material that's bonded to another surface. It can be used for decoration, protection, or to create a stronger structure. 3) They are not solid.submitteda year ago

The sapele SC 10E does not say fine vernier in the specs but does not specify solid for the top, back or sides. In a previously asked question the answer only said the top was solid. What about the back and sides of this particular sapele model? Are the back and sides solid or not?
The back and sides are laminated.submitted2 years ago

The reviewer stated "wish it were solid"? Isn't the SC10E-02 Sapele all solid wood, top, back, & sides? According to Meagan with Martin Guitars it is. I also had a Guitar Center employ tell me "at this price point it will be a laminate". I have a $600.00 000Cjr-10 that is all solid wood...spruce top and sapele back & sides. I just don't understand. I am having the most trouble getting an honest answer about the specs of this model. Can you please help?
Martin offers the choice of a satin finished spruce top with koa fine veneer back and sides or a sapele top with sapele back and sides. The Martin SC-10E Road Series Sapele has a Sapele top
