Featuring a rosewood HPL top, mortise-and-tenon neck joint and scalloped X-bracing, this guitar delivers the rich tone Martin is renowned for. The performance-focused neck shape ensures speed, comfort and dexterity along its Richlite fretboard.

Powerful Tone With HPL Top and Scalloped X-Bracing

The spruce-braced HPL top and scalloped X-bracing provide the articulate tone and robust volume that Martin guitars are famous for. Notes ring true and sustain fully, with a balanced frequency response across the tonal spectrum. This design ensures that every note is clear and resonant, making it perfect for a wide range of playing styles.

Solid Construction With Mortise-and-Tenon Neck Joint

The mortise-and-tenon neck joint and laminate birch neck offer a solid construction platform that maximizes resonance and minimizes dead spots. This ensures clear, ringing notes from the first fret to the neck joint and beyond. The High Performance Taper neck profile and rosewood fingerboard provides a familiar, comfortable feel for intricate chord voicings and melodic lines, with a 25.4" scale length and 1-3/4" nut width for ergonomic balance and smooth playability.

Advanced Martin E-1 Pickup System

The Martin E-1 pickup system features rotary controls for volume and tone mounted under the soundhole for plug-and-play convenience. The onboard tuner allows you to stay in tune quickly and efficiently, ensuring optimum performance. Simply connect to an amplifier or PA system and adjust the controls for a full, naturalistic tone when amplified.

My wife bought this for me this Christmas. Yes, I picked it out. Very nice feel with a nice rich sound. The pick up system is more than adequate. Looks great. Stays in tune. A perfect beginner or intermediate acoustic guitar. I highly recommend this Martin guitar.

Been playing acoustic for 18months, started with a cheap Ibanez dreadnought off of FB marketplace and then a Washburn about 6months ago. The Washburn looked nice and played decently, but if you find yourself sticking w/ the acoustic, just pay up for one of the top brands even if it's this entry level X-series, I wish I'd have done it sooner. My finger picking is way easier to do on this guitar and chord changes when strumming w/ a pick feel more effortless. Absolutely love the tone of this thing and find myself wanting to practice everyday just so I can hear how beautiful the notes come off. The higher fret notes are dramatically more crisp and sustaining than anything my Washburn was able to produce. I"ve yet to hook it up to an amp or PA but unplugged, this X-series is everything you'd want from a higher end brand. Love the hidden tuner inside the guitar, looks like weird placement at first but it's a slick move, making the guitar appear as if no electronics are on board.
