The Mirfak N2 shotgun microphone is an ultracompact, on-camera mic that works with DSLR cameras, mobile phones, camcorders, recorders and PCs. Featuring a cardioid directional pattern, this condenser mic is plug and play with no battery needed. It’s built with an all-metal design and 3.5 mm output port supporting TRS and TRRS 3.5 mm audio cables. The sleek and streamlined design mounts with the included shockmount and has the option to choose from included black foam or furry windscreen making it a great option for photographers, videographers or podcasters. The foam windscreen reduces unwanted wind noise from breezes, fans, heaters and air conditioners. For maximum reduction of wind noise in outdoor environments, use the furry windshield (aka DeadCat).

It's small and compacted. Which I like!. But I would have to have a base part to set it down to record because I normally use it to record guitar parts and a little vocals.

mic doesn't come with an XLR solution and when tested with the solutions afforded worked okay... online videos seemed to offer quality audio but I was not incredibly impressed with the ones i bought. they work and I will use them but I have sent several emails for tech support to solve an xlr solution that have not been replied to. I did eventually find a solution... it appears the mic is not a standard wiring... oh well.

Hi. I have a very noisy place to record in for voice overs.
I am searching for a microphone that could help cut down on these unwanted sounds.
Does this mic help with that?
I am also searching for a low cost mic to start out with too.
