Wonderful little ukulele. "Mele Kalikimaka" !
I bought two of these little ukuleles for my daughters to learn on. The price was very reasonable, the sound is awesome and they are super easy to keep tuned using an app they have on their phones. They had already learned three or four chords the first evening and were looking up songs to play before they went to bed. Two weeks later they have learned numerous songs including Christmas carols to sing to the family on Christmas Eve. Such fun! And the ukuleles are so pretty! They were packaged very carefully and shipped quickly. I am happy with my purchase in every way possible!! I recommend this company highly!

Does not stay tuned
Someone , who knows nothing about music, bought this ukulele and I was trying to tune it for them. Everytime I would tune one string and move onto the next string that previous strings would go out of tune. Tuning this ukulele took an hour. Then when I rechecked the tuning, all the strings were too flat again. So I tightened and retuned so it was a little sharper… by the time I was done and had played 15mins all the strings were flat again. I have never had this issue with my other brands of ukuleles(Kala and Yamaha). I did have this problem with an Epiphone acoustic guitar whose tuning gears were broken. I read some of the other reviews just now and it seems to be an issue with this model ukulele. Sadly, the person who bought this ukulele says it's too late to return it. If it would stay tuned, it would sound nice for the price.

My Granddaughter witnessed two young girls playing the Ukulele at a summer flee market and just fell in love with the sound of the Ukulele. I purchased a Mitchell soprano ukulele for her. It is a beauty and just the correct size for her. Now she is now so very passionate about learning and playing her gift. Thank you Guitar Center.
I would recommend this product for a beginner.

I was surprised at how very light this ukulele is. From researching online, I guess you have to stretch the nylon strings by gently pulling it away from the fretboard in order for it to hold its tune then tune it again. I'm very new to owning a ukulele so hopefully this ukulele and I can make my learning journey fun and exciting.

My grandson is coming to visit later this year, so I wanted to get him something he could play with instead of migrating towards my Martins and Fenders..At just over 2, this is the perfect size and seems fairly well built..going to be starting him on a musical journey early.
