I use this every time I do a setup. The variety and quality of the included bits can't be beat. The Octopus tool is good but you should be careful not to over tighten nuts using the built in nut driver as it is plastic and could be stripped if overdone. Remember it's a guitar you're working on, not a SpaceX rocket.

I have used this every gig either on my gear or someone else's. If I were a tech it would have paid for itself already.

  • Highly suggested for guitar techs!

I use this kit every day at school to work on instruments. Anything from removing tuning keys to pickguards to pots, this covers it! The octopus multitool is durable, yet gentle on nuts, making it great for painted parts. An absolute MUST HAVE for anyone needing a compact arsenal of tools!!

The problem I have is with a few of their hex drivers that aren't exactly the right size. For example, on my tele I need 1/16th driver to adjust saddle height and this only works for 2 of the grub screws. It's not the saddle screws... all other 1/16th drivers I have work in all of them. That's disappointing for the price you pay but maybe your bits will be fine... I also notice issues adjusting bridges on modern Gibson Nashville bridges. I can get it to work but it's tighter in some than it should be.

  • It's nomad of course it's great

I bought this to change out tuners for locking turners on my guitars. The first two guitars work fine but the plastic wrench began rounding out (I only used slight pressure to make it snug, but not tight). By the time I used it on a third guitar, it was useless. If the plastic wrench was metal reinforced, then it would be worth paying the high price. If you are never going to use it, then go ahead and waste your money. If you are actually going to use it for basic guitar repair/maintenance; your better off using a regular cheap socket set. Oh, I've been playing guitar since 1979, I know what I'm talking about.
