Strong on the outside, soft on the inside--an excellent wood shell case, especially for the price. Black plush interior. Fits F-style instruments.

Great case for the price

I ordered this case as used, it show up brand new with the tags still on. Not saying that will happen to you, but i would have been fine with a ding on the case, but this thing was obviously brand new. I'm using to house my F style Epiphone MM-50 and it's a tiny bit snug, but not too snug. This case comes highly recommended from me, especially being a hardshell case for that price.

It's just ok

I got this case because it was cheap, and you get what you pay for. It would not fit my Fender FM-63S mandolin. I had to take out the box in the middle in order for it to fit. Other than that it is just an okay case. If your looking for quality, spend a few extra bucks for a nicer case.

  • I had to cut out a chunk of the padding

I bought this for our Fender F style mandolin. It did not fit at all. I had to cut out a big chuck of the padding on one side and a smaller piece of the foam lining on the other side for the body to fit. The accessories compartment is a bit tall and makes to neck fit too snug. I would not recommend this until the manufacturer makes some changes for the instruments to fit better.

  • This is a great case!

Sturdy but light. Hard exterior but soft interior keeps my mandolin safe. The latches seal well. And there's a small compartment to keep my tuner, picks and anything else that needs to go out with me.

  • The case does not fit my F model mandolin.

This case is supposed to fit an F model mandolin. My Kentucky model KM 620S lays nicely in the open case but will not close without harming the mandolin.

  • Seems to be a decent case for the price point, however......

.... it does not fit the Ibanez M522SDVS FM F-Style Mandolin that I bought it for: Mandolin wanted to sit to the right, but case wouldn't accommodate, lid wouldn't close/case too shallow for body depth, and support for the neck was too high I could probably get it to fit by modifying the case by removing foam, but I don't want to do that.

Purchased this case for my Epiphone MM-40L F style mandolin. It was a little too snuck in depth for my Epiphone so I removed some of the bottom padding. Otherwise I was pleased with the quality and appearance of this case.

Will this fit a Washburn M3EK-a mandolin without being too tight?

The Washburn M3EK-A should fit in the Musician's Gear F-Style Mandolin Hardshell Case, but it may be a tight fit. If you prefer a case specifically designed for Washburn F-style mandolins, you might consider the Washburn MC92 case, which is tailored for such models.
