Cheap and junky

Bought a couple of these and immediately returned them as they were junk just like all the Musicians Gear brand. The locking mechanism was not reliable at all. Consider the Hercules or Fender brand instead.
Cheaply made and unreliable

I also have the Fender stand that this is a copy of. That stand, which I've had for years, works fine. Unfortunately, the locking mechanism On this stand is unreliable. The last time I used it, I had to wrap tape around the post to keep the guitar from slipping. My stand has had very little use, mostly in my home bedroom studio. Not worth the "bargain." Won't buy again.

BUY THE LOCKING ATLAS STAND. YOU ARE RELYING ON AN IMPORT COMPRESSION LOCK TO HOLD YOUR INSTRUMENT. i would not even consider placing my les paul custom on this stand

I recently began upgrading my old stands because the cushioning was falling off from years of use… . i must say these new stands are impressing me. Not only are they much more stable, I love the hanging design that is WAY BETTER for me than the traditional cradle type, for example I have a Roland Synth GK2a mounted on one guitar that used to make me ballance the axe at an angle to put on the stand... What a hassle. Plus the cords and straps would often get tangled on the cradles. Not anymore. Cords & straps are now a nonissue. Wish I would have done this sooner and will be buying more. Excellent value. Thank you GC;)
