NICE CASE ... OVERALL
For the money, this is a nice case, not perfect, but very nice. Even if you remove the trays and keep the harmonicas in their cases, you can still easily carry 14 harmonicas in the right compartment alone - double stacked. That still leaves ample room for a bullet microphone and cable and 8 more harmonicas in the larger compartment. That still leaves the smaller compartment for wipe off cloths or other small items, or more harmonicas. The latch and lock are okay, but not the best. When the case arrived, I noticed the lid was a little sprung and does not close tight on the right front corner. But again, for the cost, overall it is a real nice case. If you want to spend more and get a double latched case, you can, but why? I would say, try this one first. Then if you find yourself using it a lot and it begins to wear out, then think about upgrading to the next level. But for most, this one will do just fine. And so far, it even withstands the grandchildren. Happy Harping

I would not buy this item again
Bought this Harmonica case and the top latch screws were not up to par. One screw was stripped and would not tighten. The other would tighten but would back out constantly. These are the only things that hold the case shut. Otherwise a pretty good and durable case. I put super glue on the screws and it has been fine but they should have been adequate in the first place.

I use this case as a general purpose gig case which also holds my harmonicas. The harmonicas will slide around, so I use the bottom space to hold them in place and put my chromatic harmonica on top. I use the bigger opening for holding my guitar tuner, picks, and capo along with my neck harmonica holder. I wish I would have known that you slide the lock over to open the case. There were no instructions with the case. I thought it was mailed to me locked. After I unscrewed the front plate, I saw how the latch worked. This may be common knowledge, but it was new to me.

if you are reading reviews for a multi harp case then you need to buy this one. seriously, the price is fair and the product is awesome. surprised me how much less this one costs than the other name brand ones you will recognize. I as scored 25% off as well - so watch this product when GC runs their sales. Funny thing is now that i own it, i would definitely pay full price for it. very well made, sturdy, didn't smell funny either. you can get a lot of things in this sucker i have two neck braces, a bullet mic, 15 diatonic harps (still have room), an oversized double decker harp, cleaning cloth and even an airplane bottle of booze to boot! it's a very compact design as well so the case is easy to transport and keeps things safe. i like the fuzzy tray for the harps too-- i've seen some cases with more snug slots for the harmonicas, i don't like that because it impedes the drying.
