You can make these work

I bought a couple of these on the daily deal. With the weight of mics today, these don't fare well. But with the placement of some zip ties creating a loop on the vertical post, a loop on the horizontal boom, then joining those 2 loops with another zip tie, I can easily manage the weight of the mic without needing to over tighten those bolts that are prone to failure. It works great and makes this cheap stand usable.

These stands are horrible!!!

If you use these in your house and never break them down then they're "ok". I gig out and run sound 6-7 nights a week. I bought several of these and they lasted all of two weeks before falling apart. Same with their speaker stands. Buy the DR Pro stands.

I have spent thousands of dollars at guitar center and I ordered these last year using them for gigs 4 to 5 times a week and they lasted about two weeks. Both of them fell apart. Please do not buy them they are garbage and a waste of your money

  • Great stands for the price

These will be used for home recording. The 2-pack price was a great deal.

These tripods are light weight and are adequate for the occasionally performing musician/singer. It is my guess they are NOT for the long haul or for daily use. I have significantly higher quality and pricier tripods that are sturdier and appear more durable but like I said earlier, these are adequate for either a start-up; in-studio use or occasional performing musician.
