Excellent hard case value.

I purchased two of these cases. I am traveling the country in a 5th wheel trailer and needed something decent to store my guitars while traveling from place to place. I originally had a pair of soft sided cases, but they did not provide the protection I needed. These hard side cases are generic cases, not fitted for specific models. I have an Ibanez RG5EX1 and an ESP LTD H-330 and they both fit just fine. The interior of the case is covered in a soft black velour type of material. Not much in the way of padding, but the molded ABS plastic provides excellent case rigidity with no twist or flex. Ample support for the guitar neck with a pair of wraparound straps with Velcro that further aid in keeping the guitar from moving within the case. Sturdy handle, lock with 2 keys, and three sets of chrome steel latches round out the hardware. There is no "hinged compartment" inside for hiding strings, winders, tuners, or tremolo arms, but there are two open cavities on either side of the neck for placing these items. What does this mean? Nothing, just FYI. When the lid goes closed and is latched, any small items in the case stay where you put them; they do not migrate inside the case. Regarding the price, the store applied a 10% military discount on my order. By the time the money was done changing hands I had a pair of sturdy, hard side, locking cases for almost the same price as a pair of soft case gig bags from Roadrunner.

Not Good for guitars with an angled headstock!!!

I purchased this for my Schecter Hellraiser -S...The fit on the body is a little loose but too bad, unfortunately the headstock angle leaves the tip and a couple tuners resting on the bottom of the case and there is not much cushion...this would most likely damage the guitar or the case (Just needs an extra 1/2 inch). The angle on the schecter is subtle....I tried six other guitars in the same case all with the same issue...The only guitars that will work properly are flat/straight headsock guitars...Strat,Tele, musicman...I have a Godin That also works but doesn't need a case. You can doctor this up and make it work, but thought others should know.

    I have a couple cheaper guitars that didn't have cases, they made be cheaper guitars, but I like keeping them clean and not dusty. These cases were perfect for them, and I would use them on my better guitars if they needed one.

    Got this as an upgrade for a PRS SE that I only had a gig bag for. This is solid, well padded and the guitar fits perfectly! I don't know if I'd buy this at full price, but when they have it for the daily pick at fifty percent off, it's a fantastic deal. Grab one when you can and you won't be disappointed!
