Much more solid than the Wav/NXT stand - Treat Yoself!

I was reluctant to pay the not so inexpensive price for this stand but I was getting tired of the knobs stripping out on the stand that came with the used 2010-ish Wav4 EUB I bought last month. This stand is sooooo much better in several ways. 1) The knobs and hardware are all heavy duty steel (no plastic) and I'm confident will never strip out no matter how hard I crank them down. 2) The footprint is about half as big as the Wav/NXT stand and allows for many more playing position possibilities and keeps you from having to stand on one of the legs. 3) The stand is way more stable and compact making me feel more secure about break time at the gig (you know what I mean). My advice: if you are a gigging musician treat yourself and spend the extra money for this stand. I don't think you will regret it!
Yes I would buy it again.

Used it with Omni Steinberger Bass at church. The stand was great. Very heavy and sturdy. I brought a silver stand as you can see in the picture, but was sent a black one instead.
Great stand. Better than the default stand.

Works great for my CR5 Cello. Nice to be able to leave it out and set up to practice any time. A little heavy for transporting but not too bad.
Heavier but less clumsy than the tripod stand

I bought this to use with an NS Design NXT Omni Bass. The Omni doesn't come with a stand. I have tried the Omni with the less expensive tripod stand, but after seeing online comments that this stand is better, I decided to try it. The advantage is that it takes up less floor space, so the legs are not crashing into your stool or chair when you play seated as happens with the tripod stand. And that's a big advantage. However, from what I can tell, it doesn't seem to offer any additional flexibility or positions vs. the tripod stand. It's also made of fairly heavy steel, so when you zip it into the gig bag it adds a lot of weight. I suppose that's necessary to make it stable. So overall, it's fine.

Does this tripod work with the NS Design WAV4c Series 4-String Omni Bass E-G Amber Burst? Are their any drawbacks? (wire connections ok?) What are the positives? Thanks, JT
