NUX Mighty Space Wireless Battery-Powered 30W Combo Amp Black

I go through several-month-long phases when I'm almost only interested in acoustic or only interested in electric. When I settle into an acoustic phase, the big amps go to the closet and I reclaim my living room. But even amidst that acoustic phase, I do occasionally need some electric satisfaction. So I've tried a number of smaller/desktop amps to keep things tidy. This Nux is the best yet. I think the spark mini comes close on tone but with the spark, even with the noise gate off, notes die quite unnaturally. That's a deal breaker for me. The number of amps and effects on the Nux are a bit limited compared to others but the sound, at least from some of the amp models, especially the deluxe and matchless, is very good. On the flip side, the models aimed at a heavier sound are mostly quite bad as they are extremely muffled regardless of eq tweaks (I need to try changing IRs). The effects (distortion) do not do much; squealy in spades but there is no way to achieve a gritty, raspy distortion. The delays are usable, reverbs good and mods very good. The wireless transmitter I only tried for a moment. It seemed fine, I didn't notice any latency, but I play right next to the amp so no reason not to use a cable. The app is intuitive and connectivity between the amp and app has no issues at all. I was aware of this amp a year or so ago when it came out but thought it was overpriced for what it is, but then again I don't care about wireless or the footswitch. I got mine used at a significant price break. I don't think I'd pay new retail for it.
