It's not as solid as, say, a RoadRunner or Humes and Berg hard shell case, but it does the job to protect the drum. The strap is a bit inconvenient the way it is piped through the top, but it's not so difficult to operate. For the price it's a great case.

I got a piccolo snare from GC a couple months ago and I wasn't able to get a case even though I use my snare mostly traveling. The Nomad case is very strong in the outside which keeps my snare from getting scratched. The only thing that probably would make this product a 5 stars would be the inside. I had to ad some padding myself to stop the snare from bouncing inside. Overall it was a good product for what it costed.

I don't understand the specifications for diameter of the Nomad Fiber piccolo snare case: 12" case has a 14" diameter. 13" case has a 15" diameter. 14" case has a 17" diameter. How can the 12" case have a 14" diameter? I'd be using the case for a Ludwig Carl Palmer piccolo snare drum that's 14" x 3.7" Which size would you recommend? Thanks very much.
