Oasis OH1 Guitar Humidifier With OH-2 Digital Hygrometer

Description
Oasis OH-1 Original Guitar Humidifier
The body of Oasis is made from a specially designed fabric that allows water vapor (but not water) to pass through it. As the vapor transmission takes place, a vacuum is created and Oasis shrinks to compensate for the loss of water. By watching the Oasis shrink, you can determine when it is ready for refill. When refilling, you don't have to guess when it is full. Simply unscrew the black cap, fill with water to the top of the container and replace the cap. Once sealed, the watertight container is your first line of defense against leaks. Humigel, the super absorbent polymer crystals inside Oasis, are your second line of defense. Humigel captures up to 500 times its weight in water in an absorbent gel matrix.
Like other sound hole humidifiers, Oasis fits between the strings of your instrument. The materials that touch your strings are relatively soft and will not scratch your strings. A blue polyurethane stabilizing bar fits over the neck of the humidifier. Once positioned in the sound hole, the stabilizing bar lies across the guitar strings to ensure even weight distribution. Oasis never touches the body of your instrument.
For normal seasonal humidification (down to 25% relative humidity), most guitarists can rely on the original Blue Oasis. The Oasis provides humidification for 7-10 days before needing to be refilled.
OH-2 Digital Hygrometer w/clip
A guitar, or any other stringed musical instrument made of wood, is at risk of cracking when the relative humidity drops below 40%. The Oasis Digital Hygrometer accurately measures relative humidity and can help you decide when to use your Oasis Guitar Humidifier. Because relative humidity varies greatly, even inside your home, we recommend that you keep your hygrometer close to your instrument.
With the convenient case clip, it is now possible to measure the relative humidity inside your guitar case. The new clip attaches to the back of the hygrometer and is mounted on the flap of the supply box inside your guitar case.

I bought a used Breedlove D25/SRe guitar and case in like-new condition, at my local Guitar Center about one month ago. This guitar sells brand new for $1000 at GC right now and is well worth protecting!! Breedlove recommends this humidifier and they know what good quality is! This kit comes with easy-to-follow instructions of what AND what NOT to do for best results and longest life. The hygrometer is easy to operate and read. Soon I will be buying two more humidifiers for my other guitars (I can move the hygrometer from case to case easily enough).
These are the best humidifiers for acoustics!

A luthier recommended the Oasis to me, so I tried one, and now I have four. Three OH-1's and one OH-6 case humidifier. These are so simple and easy to use. They keep the guitar case (and guitar) at about 50% RH with no issues. The best thing about these is that they use distilled water, and refill crystals are inexpensive. The packet style humidifiers work, but are way too expensive if you have several guitars.
Seems to be doing the trick

I've used the Planet Waves soundhole humidifiers in the past and have to say that on the surface, they seemed to be a bit more effective than this one. BUT, after a few weeks of using this Oasis, it seems to be doing the trick. The guitar I bought this for suffered from a crack due to Denver's low humidity. And taking the guitar to shows didn't help much either. But I've kept it tucked away in the case with this Oasis for the past few weeks and have noticed that the wood has regained some of it's natural moisture again. Over humidifying can really do a number on your guitar too, and this Oasis seems to be helping with increasing the guitar's moisture without swamping it out.

Even though I haven't played in years, my beautiful, classic 1950 Martin was in need of some minor work. The guitar master who lovingly restored the instrument to near new condition, recommended the Oasis as a means of maintaining it's great condition. I'm thrilled to discover such a device exists.
