Safe for Gibson Nitro finish!
Took me forever to find a Nitro finish safe hanger. 2+ yrs of use on 3 Gibsons and not a mark. Plus it allows to swivel incase the guitar gets bumped. I also do recommend some kind of pad to keep the back of the guitar from hitting the wall incase it gets bumped, just like all hangers.

Not happy -- all 3 wall anchors broke during installation
The u-shaped hook and bracket where the instrument hangs is sturdy, but the screw-in plastic wall anchors that are included are very flimsy. All three broke during installation (even though I followed instructions precisely). Luckily, I had extras that were made of better material. See photo.

I picked up 5 of these to hang all my guitars up securely and neatly. I wanted one that would not have m the finish on my new Gibson Supreme and this one should do the trick based on a lot of reviews that I have read.
I'd buy again

I feel this is the best design on the market. I have 17 and I screw them to backer boards (selected to compliment or match the guitar wood) which I anchor to the wall studs. The gives additional clearance for deep body guitars, such as acoustics and hollow-body Jazz guitars. I would not directly attach these (or any hanger, for that matter) directly to drywall. I just feel they might dig in and leave a mark that would be a pain to patch. I have noticed on the more recent purchases the bottoms are not perfectly flat. I use 100 grit sand paper to flatten them so there's not bowing or stress on the base when they screws are tightened.

What are the dimensions, I will be hanging my guitars in display cases and need to make sure there is enough room for the display case to close.
It's only 3" deep, in the box. I’m sorry, I don’t know. I don't have one to check.submitted3 years ago

What's the spacing between the two top holes? That is, are they close enough together that they can both be driven into a stud, or will one hole have to use a wall anchor?
