what do you expect

seriously i dont understand the purpose of buying single guitar stands that cost tons of cash... what do you expect for them to fly or something? when i saw this i thought to myself. do i like mine? i dunno its kinda just there and its kinda just been there for like 10 years. what more could you ask? it just works, and unless you go on a rockstar tangent and throw it from the 12th story of the hilton it's not gonna fail on you. get it its money well spent

Not best for my needs

A guitar stand is a guitar stand and they all work basically the same whether you spend ten or fifty dollars on one. This On-Stage stand does exactly what it is supposed to, BUT, I returned my pack of 3 for two reasons: #1, I like to often rest my guitars in a stand with them still plugged up, and this stand sits too low to allow for that. I have other similar stands that hold the guitar higher off the ground. #2. This stand has a very short rear leg which in turn makes it much easier for the guitar to be turned over in the 10:00 or 2:00 positions if bumped. My other similar stands - even while holding my guitars higher off the floor, are much more stable because they also have a much longer rear leg. But if you have a strictly acoustic guitar that will not need to be held while plugged up, and kept in a low-traffic location, then this On-Stage stand is just fine.

Its great, it is exactly what my son needed for his room, as he is in the beginner stage, but has an electric and acoustic guitar, and really had no wear to safely prop them up. This is just what he needed.

On Stage used to be a good economy stand but this one is lousy--It's a shorter neck tube and the neck support tension screw won't hold threads are all stripped or wrong size threads for the application---Never got one as bad as this

  • Works as it should

Does what it is designed to to….hold a guitar! Stable yet still lightweight with no worries of it tipping over.

  • I would buy this product again and again and again and....

I collect budget guitars (16). Guitar stand number 6 and 7 recently purchased. They are all the OnStage XCG4. They're not rocket science to set up and securely hold my precious babies. The heaviest is an Epi Les Paul and the biggest is an Epi ES-175 hollowbody. Only minor gripe is that the rubber floor protectors slide off easy, but easily secured with glue. Will continue to buy this stand as long as it's available. Delivers on it's intended use. Purchased from different vendors, so consistancy has been demonstrated. Best prices and deals found at Musicians Friend.

Is it safe for nitro cellulose finishes? Most less expensive stands can damage the nitro cellulose finish found on many high end expensive guitars. When the guitar gets stored on a stand for extended time periods and convenience is usually when this occurs. If it doesn't state nitro cellulose safe, it isn't.
