Crank-Up Speaker Stand | SS8800B+

On-Stage

collapse expand iconDescription

By far the easiest method of raising speaker cabinets 80" off the floor. The easy-to-use power crank-up height adjustment system operates with either the removable manual handle or any standard electric or cordless drill. The upper shaft is constructed from extruded aluminum and the gear teeth are milled into the shaft, making it the most affordable solution on the market to cranking up speaker cabinets.

Working Well

So far I'm very pleased the speaker stands that I've purchased. Raising the speakers with the power crank couldn't make it any easier. I have the Yamaha Club Series speakers and the grooves cut into the insertion poles of the stands make for a custom fit - so that the poles don't get stuck when removing the speakers.

Crank up speakers

i bought these for My EV 15" Speakers but it looks like there not strong enough to really suuport the speakers cause of there wait. One Screw on the Bottom Tripod holds the Stand in place butcan stripe out of place. First i time i used them they were moving in a small 15 mile an hour window side to side. They would be good for 12" speakers but not the bigger 15" speakers. Also the Screw that holds the Handle in place would not tighten down so i had to epoxy the handles so i could use them. The sales guy said bring them to Guitar Center to look at and would not refund over the Phone. For light duty work there ok but look at other Crank up speakers. These China Made Stands won't last long and there priced to high.

I purchased 3 of these jems to use for a set of 4play and a set of 4bar lights on each. Two of the three had cracked housings on crank. GC handled things right away. Got two replacements and all is good. I've added a 3 ft. pole to each and it is awsome to be able to put lights on them, wire them up and crank up high with ease.

Heavy duty and easy to operate. Makes loading and raising a 40 lb speaker super easy for one person. Would highly recommend!

I bought just one to see how well this stand works . I can't say enough good about it . The cranking mechanism is smooth and easy and it sits solid on the floor. With all stands you have to pay attention to the weight capacity and upper shaft diameter and for my speaker weight and extra tall cabinets it works very well .

I searched online for these crank up stands after using my brother's. I'm a female and only 5'4", so lifting a speaker high up onto an assembeled stand was difficult, to say the least. With the crank up, it's a peice of cake. Guitar Center had the best price I found and the order turnaround time and shipping was fast and easy. I'm very happy with this whole trasaction and wouldn't hesitate to buy from Guitar center again.

I bought a pair of these to hold my Peavey SP 5G speakers since I'm getting too old to hoist them up without help. I like that the loading height is a little lower that my normal stands. The crank up system was much smoother than I thought it would be. I would not recommend the drill option as it would be too easy to go past the upper of lower limits. Cranking by hand only took less than a minute and was very easy. The first pair I ordered came in broken but a call to the customer service desk got me another set very quickly and hassle free. While waiting I took one of the broken ones apart. All the gear components are steel and brass but I would be worried about the plastic. The plastic was broken on both of the first stands due to them being dropped on the post end driving the top screw into the plastic housing. I think I would feel a bit better about this system if they had safety pins. Having a Peavey SP 5G fall is not a pretty sight. But, hopefully that will never happen. Over all I really like how they work when new. How long they last is a unknown for now.
