The On-Stage TCM1500 delivers ergonomic, in-performance access to your tablet or cell phone. Weighing less than one pound, it's constructed of durable, lightweight plastic for easy transportation that holds up. The design offers a world of attachment and orientation options for perfect adjustment. The tablet and cell holders each of boast protective padding at all contact points. The tablet adjusts from 8" - 12" in height to 3.5" in width, and the cell holders are 2.5" in height by 4" width. Meanwhile, the assembly adapter provides 180 degrees of tilt with a full 360 degree rotation and accepts any standard 5/8"-27 threaded mic stand, or, with the included clamp, attaches directly to any 0.75" to 1" stand or desktop.

    Piece of junk. Bought in Montgomery, Al store. Cheap plastic, keeps falling apart during performances. It is getting recycled for a better use.

    This is one sturdy unit. Thick ABS plastic, good connections, versatile positioning. The extra phone/power holder is a bit superfluous and the unit folds up, though not enough to fit in my tablet bag where my last one traveled. Samsung Tab 4 with rubber case fit easily with inches to spare. The corner slots have to be manually fit, but that only takes a second. Knobs don't obstruct any functions and can be moderately tightened for maximum hold. This unit will survive some knocking about (mine is attached to a cymbal stand next to the snare, so has experienced an occasional wild stick attack) with ease. A great product, if a bit bulky to pack.

    It'll hold three lbs. Steady depends on how high the stand is set.

    Please describe how the product attaches to the mic stand. Is it quick to clamp on so it would be convenient to move frequently or does it require lots of tightening and fussing to secure it to and release it from the mic stand?

    The clamp needs to be loosened and tightened every time it's moved.
