Probably the best sounding acoustic guitar amplifier I've ever heard or owned. It's pricey, but worth every cent. 200 watts, 22 pounds& the most glorious tone you'll ever hear.

  • I didn't believe it either

Don't let the small size for you. I play live two or three days a week every week for over 25 years and I'm used to a Bose L2 and and although I love it, this amp is noticeably better. I run a Taylor 314 and a vocal the guitar sounds is immaculate and the vocal is unbelievably clear . No need for compression or any other effects that really brings out the wood in your guitar and you can hear every note clearly. If you are a finger picker and can afford it this is a must have . Maybe the best piece of equipment I have ever owned and so small you have to hear it to believe it. If you play a lot the size alone should interest you change his load in dramatically. The cost is definitely an issue .....but you have to hear it to believe it.

I purchased the AER compact XL brand new from GC, can you owners tell me if the fan on the back of the unit turns on when you turn on the amplifier? Mine does not. Thanks
