This portable rackmount powerhouse is packed with studio-grade processing and effects to elevate your mixes.

Pristine Midas-Designed Mic Preamps
At the heart of the X AIR XR16 are eight of Midas' renowned microphone preamps. Well regarded by touring professionals and studio engineers alike, these transparent, low-noise pres provide ample headroom to handle any source without coloring the sound. Your vocals, drums, guitars and more will shine through with incredible clarity and detail. No matter the application, the X AIR XR16 delivers the pristine, studio-grade audio quality that has made Midas a legend in live sound.

Lush FX From Iconic Studios
Bring the ambience and character of classic studio effects to the stage with the X AIR XR16's four stereo FX engines. You get a massive collection of rich reverbs, delays and modulation effects modeled after iconic processors like the Lexicon 480L and EMT250. With a simple touch, you can dial in luscious plate and hall reverbs that make vocals shimmer. Crank up vintage tape delays for dub reggae vibes or swirling choruses for psychedelic textures. These high-end FX run inside the low-latency mix engine for flawless performance with flexible routing.

Cable-Free Control From Anywhere
Thanks to its integrated Wi-Fi router, the X AIR XR16 frees you from the constraints of bulky snakes and monitor wedges. Using the free remote apps for iOS and Android, you have full wireless control over all mixing functions from wherever you need to be. Connect multiple devices at once to let performers dial in their own custom in-ear mixes on personal tablets. Roam the room to tune the front-of-house from the crowd's perspective. The intuitive app interface provides low-latency fader, routing and FX control so you can craft the perfect blend for every seat.

Stereo Recording, Advanced Mixing Tools
The X AIR XR16 has no shortage of pro features for capturing pristine recordings and running complex shows. The front-panel USB output captures uncompressed WAV files for simple stereo recording to thumb drives or hard disks. Groundbreaking Gain Sharing tech automatically maintains consistent levels when multiple mics are open, perfect for panel discussions and multi-performer events. For deeper editing, X AIR Edit software mirrors the entire mixer interface on your computer with full parameter control.

Super Bang for the Buck!
Behringer has totally hit the mark with the X-Air series of mixers. It is amazing how much these mixers will do and they are at a silly price point. But don't let the price fool you, you are getting Midas preamps and Klark Technik signal processing. This little box is powerful beyond belief. It would get 5 stars from me but I don't feel like they have the software quite to where it needs to be and the manual is not very helpful. This is a very new product and both those things are to be expected, but they still need to be addressed. If there is a product on the market that will do what this mixer will do at the price, I certainly don't know what it is. Best of all, my mixer, with all the effects I use, my snake, my drive effects, enough microphones for a small gig, my in-ear monitor system, my ipad and all the necessary cables fit in a four space rack bag! At my age the less stuff I have to load in and out the better! Thanks Behringer!

Awesome mixer

Very compact unit, and nothing to wear out ,all the controls are on the IPad. The software at first seems complicated but it is nice once you get used to it. The ability to control everything digitally is really awesome. Also not having to use a snake will be a big plus. I haven't used at a gig yet but the onboard wireless works good and also used a router and that worked great.

It like a mixer and snake all in one place this on stage and plug in. That's it. All the software modeling effect make easy to convince everyone to us DI. Love this thing cause I'm the baddest and the sound man. It makes it east to control the mix and be on stage.
Great mixer for live work

This is a great, affordable digital mixer that does just about everything we need it to do. There are enough mic inputs to handle the guitars (mic'd from their amps), the vocals and a few drum mics (2 overheads and the kick). Other instruments, like keyboards, plug into the TRS connections. Plus, we can control separate monitor feeds so the drummer and the vocalists can hear the vocals, and the guitar can hear... well... the guitar. ;-) Having a few effects is very nice: adding a little reverb to the backing vocals and gated reverb on the kick gives the sound some pizzazz. Love the effects. We can even route the sound of bus 5 and 6 to the headphones and specialize that mix which we then send to wireless in-ear monitors for the lead vocalist. Love the versatility of this mixer! This would definitely get 5 stars, except that the built-in Access Point is too weak to rely on while on stage. For stage performances, if you want to be able to control it during the show (and you do!), you need to use an external access point (router) and connect through that. Otherwise, it is a bit hit and miss whether you can connect to the router in a space that has maybe 200 cell phones and other electronic devices competing for bandwidth. It's an inconvenience, but it isn't a show stopper by any means. One other note: it is challenging to learn at first. But there are lots of YouTube videos available that will walk you through the basics and get you going. Then you just need to spend a little time and play (and play, and play! I love play time with this thing).

I purchased my second XR16 as an open box deal. Great Price for a great digital mixer! Once I opened the box, original packaging I will add, I found the rack ears for the rack mountable mixer were no where to be found. Some one opened the box to help them self to the rack ears. Closed it up and now they sold it for less. No where in the description before purchasing did the description say NO RACK EARS for this rack mounted mixer.
Love It!!!
