Description
The Behringer XENYX X1832USB mixer packs an astounding amount of functionality into a compact, rackmountable unit. With 18 total channels, including six XENYX mic preamps known for pristine audio quality, it's ready to handle everything from podcast production to live gigs. Everything you need for professional-grade recording and mixing comes included in one portable package.
Studio-Grade Mic Preamps
Having premium mic preamps is crucial for capturing flawless audio and the XENYX X1832USB delivers with six XENYX mic pres based on classic British designs. They offer wide dynamic range and incredibly musical sound across the spectrum, from rich lows to detailed highs. The high headroom design ensures clear, natural tone without distortion even when signals peak. With two combo XLR and 1/4" inputs per channel, you can connect mics, instruments, keyboards and more with pristine audio quality.
Dedicated AUX Sends Per Channel
Having AUX sends available on every channel provides tremendous mixing flexibility for both recording and live use. Create custom headphone mixes for monitoring, dial in external effects like reverb units or utilize an AUX send for headphone cue mixes on stage. The XENYX X1832USB offers three AUX sends per channel, including a prefader send for setting up monitor mixes, a post-fader send ideal as an FX send and another post-fader AUX send assignable as needed.
Record Directly to Your Computer Over USB
Thanks to the built-in USB 2.0 audio interface, the XENYX X1832USB lets you record all your mixer's inputs and outputs directly to Mac or Windows over a single USB cable. Capture multitrack recordings of live performances, utilize the mixer's outputs as soundcard outputs for playback, produce podcasts and more, all without purchasing any extra equipment. The interface operates at up to 48kHz resolution for professional-grade recording quality. A complete software bundle for editing, podcast production and music creation comes included.
Onboard Effects
An integrated 24-bit dual effects processor provides reverb, delay, chorus, flanging and more to dial in just the right sound. 16 presets can be edited via the Parameter control and time-based effects synced to a tap tempo. Assign the effects to AUX sends for external processing of vocals, instruments and more. Add the finishing touch to mixes even when recording directly to a computer over USB. The XENYX X1832USB handles crucial effects processing so you don't have to.

Fantastic Mixer.
This is a fantastic mixer! Just what I was looking for! It has just the right amount of channels for me with just enough power to support condenser microphones. It's great and a the effects it comes with are a lot of fun! And they are endless... I love this mixer. Behringer is a awesome company! Highly reccomended for a small band or group.

Great for home studio use but you'll also need a good quality sound card. I use this mixer for playback only as well as for band practice.

The mic pre-amps and internal effects are well above average for a model in this price range. There's far more features than earlier Behringer mixers, and the desk is very well laid out. I love the dedicated MON out for floor monitors, and the color coding on the faders for the monitor and effects levels. It even has mid-range sweeps and feedback detection. This thing's a beauty, and super-easy to use. And I haven't even tried out the USB recording feature yet. I also had an earlier one used for three years, and it wasn't showing any wear despite frequent use and a couple of hard drops!
