Open Box Bugera Vintage V22HD 22W Tube Guitar Amp Head Level 1

Description
The Bugera V22HD Infinium tube head pairs classic tube tone with modern flexibility. Powered by three 12AX7 preamp tubes and a punchy EL84 tube power section, the V22HD delivers 22W of rich, dynamic tube tone. It has two independent channels—Clean and Lead—each with dedicated 3-band EQ so you can shape your tone. Built-in reverb adds dimension to your sound. The V22HD's impedance selector lets you match 4, 8 or 16 ohm speaker setups, making it easy to pair with your favorite cabinet. Pentode/triode switching takes you from sweet, warm tones to saturated distortion. A heavy-duty footswitch is included for channel and reverb control. Designed and built by Bugera Germany, the rugged V22HD is made to last—covered by a 3-year warranty.
Shape Your Tone With 3-Band EQ
The V22HD Infinium has dedicated 3-band EQ on each channel, giving you deep control over your tone. Sculpt the lows, mids and highs to perfection. The Clean channel stays pristine, while the Lead channel excels at vintage crunch and singing lead tones. Dial in just the right amount of bass thump, midrange bite and treble shimmer for your guitar and playing style.
High-Definition Reverb for Spacious Ambience
Add the perfect touch of ambience to your tone with the V22HD's built-in reverb. It's adjustable from a subtle sheen to cavernous, spacious reverberation. The reverb complements both channels beautifully. Use just a touch to thicken up your clean tone or go for longer decay times when soloing to place your guitar in a lush, room-filling soundscape. The included footswitch makes it easy to turn the reverb on and off.
EL84 Power Section Delivers Vintage British Bite
The V22HD derives its vibrant power amp distortion from a pair of EL84 tubes. Often featured in classic British amps, the EL84 is loved for its rich, harmonically complex overdrive when pushed. From edgy breakup to singing lead tones, the EL84 power section rewards your playing dynamics with responsive tube compression and saturating bite. Pentode/triode switching lets you jump instantly from 22W of headroom to a lower-wattage tone that's perfect for home use.

I've been noodling around with this thing for a week now, and I was real skeptical up until tonight. A lot of people say the gain channel doesn't sound any good; and if you don't dial this thing in right, it doesn't. Rule number one, the master volume is always cranked no matter what. A lot of people, myself included, expect to crank the pre amps for the tube tone, and use the master to control the volume. You need to do the opposite. Master cranked, match the clean and gain channel volumes. Now, the trick for the gain channel is that you've got to have the gain volume at about 3.5 or 4 to juuuust start breaking up the preamp. At this point, even in triode mode, you're getting loud. Set the gain how you like it. I've found that as you increase the gain channel volume, you can decrease the gain and still maintain that beautiful tube tone. This amp is absolutely giggable, and has two fantastic sounding channels when you know how to dial yourself in. All this is my experience with a '72 thinline telecaster, so with a hotter guitar, you could get preamp crunch even earlier than 3.5. So much tonal variety, so much volume, and so many features at this price point (adjustable cab load, pentode/triode, two foot-switchable channels, onboard reverb, fx loop). You can't beat it.
I love this amp!

I play archtop and semihollow, I have Blues Deluxe and Polytone combos, but when using this amp with Raezer's Edge Cab, this combo give the best sound between the Blues Deluxe and the Polytone. The quality is way above the price.
Update to "Great EL84 Head"

I love my Bugera amps, so continued my buying spree with the V55 to replace my Twin Reverb, so gave that head the V22's Fender/Jensen C12K loaded cab to align to its clean American tone. Nailed it. I bought my beloved V22 an Avatar cab with a Celestion Alnico Cream. Absolutely wonderful. Great vintage tone and early breakups match each other perfectly. The amp flatters the Strat single coils, SG P90s and Les Paul T-tops. An absolute pleasure - much more versatile and warm than the Fender Blues Junior NOS it replaced.

I'm a 34-year guitar hobbyist and have owned a Fender Twin Reverb, Blues Junior NOS, Blues Deluxe and Bugera T-50 tube amps. It was my overwhelming delight with the T-50 that got me curious about their V22 once I decided I needed to get that EL84 chime back into my house. I'm using it with a Fender 112 cab I upgraded to a Jensen C12K. I'm very happy. Great tones from my Strat's hot noiseless single coils and Les Paul's T-Top humbuckers. Sounds great clean and overdriven. Love the footswitchable channels and the solid digital reverb. I like it so much, I'm planning to get a custom Celestion Alnico Gold 212 cabinet so she doesn't have to share with the Blues Deluxe. This is a very reasonable price if you're looking to enter the tube amp arena. Hope this helps.

I have had this V22 Head for a month now. Strat or Gibson. This makes them all sparkle. (I plugged in the G-Kids Old electric Harmony and tried it also. This amp will stand up to any other on the market. Overdrive is powerful. This tank loves pedals too. I have had 3 different cabinets plugged in at various times, making it even more versatile. Side by side with other brand tube amps in the room, this Bugera holds its own.
