Understand it before you get it
I was eager to get this pedal because my band does cover songs that some songs need keyboard to do justice. Although this unit provides some awesome keyboard/organ sounds you just cant play piano songs like you would hope. Somethings you can mimic but the organ sounds come mainly from holding a chord or note. My advice is to try one out at the store to understand it's limitations. It's great when you are just doing Chords but not practical for keyboard solo or lead.

Lasted 2 months and then just stopped working
The only thing more broken than this pedal is GC's customer service. Just stopped working for no reason after about 2 months. Guitar Center's call center is a labyrinth of frustration. I was enjoying using the pedal, but apparently if it breaks after more than 45 days, you're responsible for contacting the manufacturer and have a nice day. Goodbye for good Guitar Center. ALL in on your competitor.

You definitely want to get to know this pedal before you you use it. My first impression was negative because I just plugged it in and started playing and became very frustrated. I went to YouTube and watched all the videos I could find and learned what was going on and realized how special this pedal is.

I always wanted a pedal that would imitate an organ..but the C9 absolutely blew me away. It does not sound like a guitar trying to imitate an organ..it actually sounds like an organ...my favorite is the Lord Purple preset....it sounds like John Lord on his Hammond B3...no kidding...it sounds absolutely fantastic. Electro Harmonix nailed it with this pedal. Don't know how they did it but they did. The sustain, prescence and octave blending is nothing short of miraculous. If you want a true organ sound, just buy the C9. Worth every penny.
I recommend this.

I play in a duet Acoustic and singer group. Wanted to add like a backing keyboard sound. I tried the B-9 and very impressed but was told to really go for the C-9. More universal i was told. Anyone know more about this ? Doug
This does have a few more options as far as tones go compared to the B-9, and it's a stronger bet for what you need.We need a bit more information on how you're looking to get this all set up before we can give you a for sure answer.
