Open Box Fender Limited-Edition '65 Princeton Reverb 15W 1x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp Level 1 Tweed

Description
The Fender limited-edition '65 Princeton Reverb 12W tube guitar combo amp brings Fender's legendary tone to life. Paying homage to the brand's vintage lineage while incorporating modern touches, this handwired reissue of the iconic '65 Princeton Reverb is a premium take on a studio and stage essential. Whether dialing in chimey cleans or slight overdrive, its 12W of all tube power—courtesy of a pair of 6V6 power tubes—provide rich, harmonically complex tone with headroom to spare.
Legendary Reverb and Vibrato
At the heart of this amp's lush sound is its onboard long-spring Fender reverb and vibrato circuit with a custom 12AT7 tube. From subtle washes to cavernous tails, its reverb adds dimensional ambiance, while the vibrato circuit imparts a shiny pitch shifted effect. Adjust the reverb level, vibrato intensity and vibrato speed to taste using the control panel. An included 2-button footswitch allows for hands-free operation of the reverb and vibrato during live performance.
Pristine Cleans and Buttery Overdrive
With a 12" Celestion A Type speaker and birch/pine-ply cabinet construction, the Fender limited-edition '65 Princeton Reverb projects with fullness and articulation. At lower volumes, its circuit design elicits chimey cleans with glassy top end and tightly focused bottom end. As you turn up the volume and gain controls, it produces creamy overdrive with rich harmonic texture. A modified tone circuit provides greater high-end sparkle and low-end girth.
Modern Touches Meet Vintage Mojo
While retaining the mojo of the original '65 Princeton Reverb, this reissue includes premium components and updated features for today's players. In place of the original aluminum chassis, it has a rugged plywood chassis with finger-jointed solid birch/pine cabinet for enhanced durability and tone. It also has a grounded power cable and a restored vintage-style brown tweed covering to reduce natural wear and tear.

50 hours in...still my #1 amp
This beautiful amp just keeps getting better, and it was fantastic out of the box! The speaker keeps sounding more and more amazing and the reverb has been set at 5 to 9 for almost the whole 50 hours. As a pedal hound, I like to run one or two overdrives into it and it gets cooking even at lower volumes. Just a juicy, ripe, about-to-burst-with-every-note sound from all of my guitars. It handles distortion and fuzz just fine, too. One day I tried out my Les Paul Standard > Soul Food > OCD > Disnortion > PR at high volume with an open garage door and my understanding neighbor came over to ask if I had shredded my speaker. Nope! Just a C12 my dear friend! He stayed for The Star Spangled Banner. It sounds fantastic with any phase shifter/chorus/delay/flanger too. The one pedal you don't need is reverb. Sorry to my three reverb pedals, but you are not needed anymore. Seriously. This combo has better reverb than any pedal I've heard. And most times when I'm playing, after using the pedals for a while, I just plug straight into the amp for at least a thirty minute period and it sounds beautiful straight from the guitar too. Clean, strong, and crystal clear. My other amps (Vox AC4TV, Fender 57 Champ, DSL20CR, and H&K TM 18) are getting dusty. Every time I get set up to play, this is the amp I grab. Honestly, if I had purchased this one first, I might not have bought any of the others except the Marshall, because of the Les Paul. Oh, and it looks as good as it sounds. It gets a lot of compliments. The only two very small downsides are the weight--like most 12 inch combos, it's heavy so not too portable, and the two dial tone control is missing a mid control--but a three dial pedal or even better an EQ pedal solves that. But the luscious sound makes up for any small shortcoming. It drips honey. Just a fantastic combo amp.

After owning this amp for 10 months, i rarely plug it in. Too much fooling around trying to get the tone i am looking for. I do not understand all of these 5 star reviews. Too loud and no bottom at all. Pedals do not help. Going to trade in soon at a loss.

Love this amp. I was looking for a lighter, more portable version of my Deluxe Reverb. Wasn't thrilled with the Celestion G12-65 speaker. It didn't have the Fender sparkle and tight low end I was looking for. Swapped it for a Jensen C12N. Wow!!! Now it's an awesome amp.
I got the floor model…

I enjoyed this amp. It sounded amazing, was lighter than my AC15, and it held its own at the gig (though I had to crank it louder towards breakup and I wanted to keep it clean). However I had to return it within a week since it was the floor model and noticed the interface was loose when inserting or removing the guitar cable. This could've been ok, but the volume knob was also wonky, sliding past positions without actually increasing/decreasing the volume when turnt (if that makes sense). So with that, I couldn't justify paying full price for it. Loved it though, just wish they had a new working model then and there..,so I finally bit the bullet and got a Mesa Boogie Mark V 25 combo.
The 12's speaker makes it a great small amp for gigs.

I bought my LTD '65 Princeton about 2 years ago (different company) the only difference I can tell is the speaker, mine has the cannabis rex. That was the selling point for me, I'm not a fan of Celestion speakers, but yeah, they are good speakers. I've owned and used Fender amps since the '60's as well as many other brands of amps over the years, my first Fender was a '66 Super Reverb in High School. The Princeton is just what I expected it to be and will probably be my last amp purchase. I sized down from a DRRI which replaced my '75 Twin Reverb (original owner) several years ago, was a great amp but it finally got too heavy to lug around. The Princeton does everything I need in a smaller package and is plenty loud enough with a 12" speaker to play small venues on its own. IMHO if you want a good small amp this is the one to get.
Great little amp for smaller gigs and home-use

This is a great amp. I had a Hot Rod Deluxe that was just too loud for the smaller gigs I was playing. I sold that and bough this GC exclusive tweed PR amp. It sounds good turned down, but get this puppy up to level 5 and it really starts to open up. The reverb and tremolo sound awesome as well. To top it all off, it is much lighter and less bulky than the Hot Rod. Need to play at a bigger venue? Just mic it!
Its the Fender sound as only Fender can do...

Hi. Cool amp. Going to purchase one of these. I see Sweetwater also sells the 12" '65 Princeton Reverb Tweed albeit with a Cannabis Rex speaker. GC's is a G12-65 speaker. So roughly a $45 difference in speaker but the price difference in amp is $300 more at GC. Could you tell me if there any other differences in the two amps? Thank you
