Open Box Harbinger MLS900 Active Personal Line Array PA System Level 1 Black

I've been gigging with this thing for about a year and I like it for the price and for what it is, which is an entry level tower PA. You don't buy a unit like this to fill a big venue with sound. This is for small acoustic acts or solo musicians on a budget to quickly get into the game and sound good in smaller venues like restaurants and bars. I think it sounds good, especially for the price. I've read some reviews that state otherwise but I also play in a full band and a duo in which we use other line array systems. This sounds every bit as good as my buddy's older Bose L1 and he's said as much himself. It doesn't quite hang with our JBL PRX1, but that system is a monster. I use this with my Mackie DL1608 mixer for some added features because it's pretty bare bones, but I've also had nights where I've kept it simple and ran myself directly through the onboard mixer and it worked out just fine. I've even pulled off outdoor gigs with this with no problem. If you're a solo or duo act in the market for something on the cheap that'll get you gigging in smaller bars and restaurants this is a great option. I will say, however, if you're going direct and using one of the inputs on the mic setting, it's relatively quiet all the way until you get to about 7-8 o'clock and then it's super loud. So it's kind of one or the other. Problem solved, though, if you're using this with an external line level mixer.

I've used this unit four times for solo performances and it has been handled with care. The most recent time I used it the release Push button on one of the mic inputs fell out - it literally just dropped out of the unit. Doesn't go back in and without it any mic cable that gets input cannot come out. The unit sound good for the money but I when small things like this go wrong it is a real issue.

You can only use 3 inputs at a time not 8. There is no build in effects which is just sad. The bottom column has no speakers in it so if you're sitting in a chair, you can't hear the high end. Disappointed that these things aren't stated.

I purchase one MLS900 about 2yrs ago and only used it once,I purchased another MLS900 and just tried it out in stereo.Sounds great, can't wait to use them for my upcoming GIGs. Final thoughts, I am happy with my purchase.

We use this in a our youth room that's 30 by 50 and they are more than great. We do not use monitors because the sound quality is so evenly distributed. Small enough to fit in a car and easy enough that the kids can set it up.

I've had these for about 4 years now and use 2 of them for smaller gigs for a 6 piece country band. We only put vocals through them. Very impressed with the sound quality! We've even used them outdoors and they projected well enough. Obviously these will not work work you need a big PA but for small to mid size, they work great.
