Great speaker with insane power

I got this speaker for free as part of a sample program in exchange for this review. I was looking to get a speaker not only for parties in my backyard, but also to practice my electric guitar. There's a lot of useful features with this speaker such as voice control for if you're giving a speech via microphone, charging port for when you're using a mobile device via Bluetooth to keep it powered, and quick pairing via Bluetooth. I have a few go to songs I like to test my audio devices with to see their bass performance and this speaker has more than enough bass to where you could hear it two floors up in my house at 50% volume! For the guitar inputs there's two ports to use which can be set to mic, guitar or line for better mixing. One helpful feature is the Vari app which lets you control the levels from the listening range in front of the speaker versus behind. This helps ensure the audience can hear and not get blasted by the volume like when you experiment behind the speaker. I've used other similar speakers that didn't have this and it was harder to get it right the first time. I would definitely recommend this for anyone with basic to intermediate experience, like myself. I'd also recommend getting a pole to mount the speaker if using for parties so you get the speaker at ear level, but it works perfectly sideways on the floor for a guitar jam session too.

OK Speaker

Don't push them and they are ok for low volume gigs. Highs are a bit harsh and over crispy. Lows are bit muddled. Mids seem to be tuned way down and there is no adjustment on the speaker for that. Turn them up over halfway and things start to distort in a bad way. Also use them as monitors for the band with a lot of eq to try to smooth out the inherent harshness. I would never use them for mains at a live sound gig. Keep your expectations in check for a entry level, off-brand, self powered speaker and they work just fine. Learn their capabilities, how to use them correctly and don't push them to hard and they are ok.

Got one to use with a dj controller when friends are over at my house. The highs sound so clear and crisp and the bass sounds clean and tight. I would definitely recommend this speaker to people who enjoy quality sound.

A great speaker but is now made impossible to lift onto a speaker stand because there is only handle on the top and only one on one side as opposed to both sides.

You'll be able to "hear" it but you should go with 2.

I am looking for a PA speaker, that will be able to support at least one mic, guitar and aux for loud gigs.Would this be a good speaker to use? If not, what would you recommend?

I believe in overkill and these aren't that big. Are you using just the one? What's in the Aux? " loud gigs" - do you need punch or coverage of an area? Think about - Harbinger VARI V4115 15".

would love your thought about using it as a keyboard stage monitor for a Korg Nautilus/Nord Electro combo with a Key Largo mixer feeding it (xlr's to FOH, 1/4 mon outs to one or two of these )

A Nautilus and a Nord? With a rig like that,I'd like to see you go with a more 'pro' line but this should be ok. That being said, I believe in overkill. For a stage, you'd be better off with a 15".

What mixer? How much power does it have? What type of speakers? You sent a link for speakers that are already powered.
