Korg’s Professional Arranger - A Series Comparison

Korg PA700: Performance That Takes You Places

Description
The Korg Pa700 is a powerful 61-key arranger workstation that provides songwriters and performers with an intuitive tool for limitless creative expression. Blending the high-quality sound, authentic styles, and powerful features of previous Korg Pa models with cutting-edge Kaoss technology, this keyboard offers an astonishing range of musical possibilities in one versatile instrument.
Over 370 musical styles from around the world
With over 370 musical styles from around the globe, the Pa700 has a style for every genre and occasion. Each style comes with three intros and endings, four variations, and four fill-ins, which you can customize to create a unique sound. Save your favorites to the keyboard's storage and recall them instantly during a performance or songwriting session.
Realistic guitar parts at your fingertips
The Pa700's innovative Guitar Mode translates what you play on the keyboard into authentic guitar parts. For example, when you play a chord, the notes will "strum" together instead of arpeggiating. This allows you to easily write guitar parts on a keyboard that sound as if they were performed by a real guitarist.
Powerful effects and EQ for a polished sound
With 148 built-in effects and a 4-band parametric EQ with limiter on each track, you have the tools to perfect your sound right in the Pa700. Add the final touches to make your music production-ready or use the keyboard's effects and EQ during live performances to adapt to different venues and audiences.
Intuitive 7" touchscreen and advanced features
A 7" touchscreen makes navigating the Pa700's advanced features simple and intuitive. Capabilities like the built-in MP3 player, transpose and tempo change, fully programmable SongBook database, and Defined Nuance Control for expressive soloing open up possibilities for interactive performing and learning.

Love mine. Yamaha is great, too, but (2me) the Korg sounds more like a real band. Plug into a PA and it truly takes off! You can play it out of the box, but the 1000+ page manual is a wonderland of possibilities!

I was on may way towards a 4 month on and off vacation and stopped in to Nashville Guitar Center just for kicks. I ran across the Korg PA700, fooled around with it and new I had to have it. While I'm not a pro player by any means, I have several keyboards with some costing as much as $7000. I was impresses with the sounds and for a keyboard with built in speakers, it sounded pretty good for what would be doing with it. I am very pleased with it so far.
Greatest Arranger for it class!

Keyboard stops working after 4 months

After using it for like 4 months, all of a sudden everything on the keyboard froze, i mean everything on the keyboard stops working, all the keys and the touch screen too. After that the instrument won't start at all. It would only show the KORG logo on the display and would be stuck there. I had to take it to a service center and got it fixed. But now, it happened again after 9 months after it was repaired. I really didn't expected this from a Korg product and it wasn't a cheap one. And i think when the same thing happens twice , i guess theres some defect with the instrument i purchased and the response from Korg customer service is worst. They told me to contact the service center. I know they would fix it but now theres no guarantee that the same issue won't show up again. It's ok till i have the warranty but after that i end up paying alot . I feel like its not worth paying so much for a Korg product. I moved from a Yamaha keyboard to Korg , thinking that it would be better but it wasn't.

I have/had many arranger workstations. Pa60 Pa600 Pa800 from Korg Pa series and now Pa700. Does everything better than other arrangers. No vocal harmony function but has good mic effects. Compatible with all previous styles.
