Korg's microKEY and microKEY Air Series Overview

Description
To USB or not to USB?
microKEY Air can also be connected via a traditional USB cable. Since the microKEY is USB bus-powered, you only need a single USB cable to connect it to Mac or Windows. There's no need to install a driver; just connect it to your computer and start playing. The second generation newly supports connection to iPad and iPhone. Add an Apple Lightning - USB camera adaptor and one USB cable and your setup is complete, allowing you to access apps such as KORG Gadget, KORG Module, and GarageBand.
Compact and playable Natural Touch Mini Keyboard
KORG’s Natural Touch mini keyboard has been carefully designed to assure playability while staying compact, and makes it easy to play chords or rapid phrases. Choose between 25, 37, 49 or 61-key configurations to suit your specific playing style and space/travel requirements.
Enjoy great sound anywhere with your iPhone
KORG Module and the microKEY are the best possible combination for a mobile performance environment. With the new microKEY which supports a damper, or the microKEY Air which provides a wireless connection via Bluetooth MIDI, your iPhone instantly transforms into a high-quality sound module. In your room, in a practice studio, when riding in a moving vehicle, or outdoors, it's easy to set up and immerse yourself in a superb playing experience wherever you are.
Connect a pedal, and enjoy full control functionality
The 37, 49, and 61-key models provide an assignable switch jack for connecting a damper pedal. The 25-key model provides a sustain button that implements the damper function. On all models, you can use the octave buttons in conjunction with the key transpose function to play MIDI's entire range of notes.
The 37, 49, and 61-key models provide pitch bend and modulation wheels. The 25-key model provides a joystick that can also control pitch bend and modulation, as well as an arpeggiator function, giving you full control in spite of this model's space-saving dimensions, and providing a wealth of performance expression.
Free music software bundle
The microKEY comes with a serious collection of powerful music software titles including popular special editions of KORG Gadget and KORG Module plus the KORG Legacy Collection offering five classic KORG instruments as plug-ins. With microKEY Air you won’t have to purchase additional software; you can start creating music right away.

Great Controller

I got this because I wanted something I could carry around with me at all times for practice and unplanned jam sessions while on the go and it exceeded my expectations. The keys feel really good and comfortable to the point that this has also become my home studio controller as well as what I often use for rehearsing in various bands. Super easy to set up and go for ipad and computer and lightweight so I can avoid lugging around large high maintenance keyboards to smaller events without sacrificing quality. I have even put straps on it and used it as a keytar on occasion.
I love it!

I bought this product with some concern because GC does not carry on stores... and I could not see before buying it. But, after watch several reviews I decide to go ahead with my purchase. The key is solid, reliable and it was a great improvement for me in terms of mobility. I travel sometimes and I found myself bored several times btw layovers and flight itself. This guy gives me the opportunity to play for hours and hours. I was impressed how far I can go away of my Ipad without connection issues... It is crazy. I can say that is latency free. At least was impossible to feel any kind of latency... And I am talking about BLUETOOTH connection. Back to the keybed... After a couple of minutes I was playing with no issues... and I was surprised that is also sensitive. Awesome! Well done KORG! Now, I keep this in my home office all the time and I can produce or just practice if I need a break from my work. Very playable... Easy to connect... I got 37 keys that fits in any laptop bag... You can use as a Keytar as well in some performance. There are some DIY videos showing how to connect a guitar strap on this microkey. You can also add a pedal for damper/sustain or switch or whatever you want... you just need to configure in your daw pc/mac/tablet etc. You can also connect in your keyboard and use as a controller... so very flexible too.
Very nice action and just enough keys

37 is better than 25 and just enough if you used to playing a 49. don't forget to buy a pedal for it.
