Great monitor anywhere, or main for small venues
Great little PA unit if you have a sub and some kind of crossover and EQ. Great stage monitor if you have some kind of HPF. The lowest frequency it can handle is 78hz, so it's not full range and you will eventually ruin it if you blast lower frequencies thru it. Either way you use it you'll want some kind of HPF/X-over to keep out those low frequencies. (Cheap X-over/EQ: Behringer FBQ1502. Fancy X-over/EQ: DB Driverack PA2.) The one I bought this year is a whole pound heavier than the one I bought last year.

Nope . not quality sound
Good for beginners This was a downgrade from harbinger but you get what you pay for lesson learned. I was trying to find a replacement for the harbinger 12s I had for 8 years. Great service nice looking product Flat sound no depth no highs Recommend for newbies or beginners

Great for Small FRFR

I'm using this speaker with a TONEX pedal. It works well and sounds great. IMO, no need to spend a lot on a bespoke FRFR when a good powered PA speaker will do the same thing. Plus I can put it on a pole stand to get it off the ground.
I did buy this again

Pound of the uses for this monitor

I've used it as a monitor for small gigs and it does the job if the band is at low volume. But I found another use for it. I have a fender super champ that's only 15 watts but I love the amp. Just for $hits and giggles, I plugged the line out of the amp into this monitor and I now have a crystal clear 50 watt amp that's a lot lighter and louder than my 50 Watt Marshall.
Good when on sale. Has a midrange problem, but can be EQ'd

Pros: Pretty good speaker. A bit louder than I anticipated. Cons: This speaker has issues with upper bass and irritating high treble. But these were fixed with an eq setting saved for these two speakers I got. Application: Good for small venue. Needs a sub and EQ. Good for monitors if eq'd right.
Does what it does-well

My goal was to have a speaker dedicated to my pc so I could play along with backing tracks at a louder volume. Does that well. Feels like the drummer and bass are right in the room.

Would these speakers be good for DJing?
The Kustom PA KPX10A 10" Powered Speakers are entry-level powered PA speakers. While they can work for light DJ use, they do have limitations. Here's a breakdown to help you decide if they're right for your needs: Pros: Budget-friendly: Good for DJs just starting out or on a tight budget. Portable and lightweight: Easier to transport and set up. Built-in amplification: No need for an external amp. Cons: Limited bass: A 10" woofer won’t deliver the low-end punch needed for full dancefloor impact. You’ll miss that thump DJs often need, especially for genres like EDM, hip-hop, or house. Lower power output: They may not be loud enough for medium to large venues or outdoor events. Basic build quality: Not as rugged or reliable long-term as more established DJ speaker brands (like QSC, EV, or Yamaha). Okay for small gigs, house parties, or background DJ sets, especially if you're just starting out. Not ideal for serious club DJing, large events, or bass-heavy sets unless paired with a powered subwoofer..submitted6 months ago

Is this suitable for use connected directly to a guitar multi-effects / modeling unit(with multiple output/jack options)? Specifically, the Mooer GE300
Yes, you can connect the Kustom PA KPX10A to a pedal. I don't know how suitable it is. That piezo tweeter will have quite a bit of zing.submitted3 years ago
