The Lyons Orff Glockenspiels are designed with both quality and economy in mind. These instruments begin with wood-chambered boxes. The tone bars are hand-lathed and made with aluminum for a rich, bright sound with steady overtones. Each bar has the note name engraved at the top for easy identification. Bell mallets are included.

The note range for the Alto Glockenspiel is C5 to A6, and includes Add-on bars F#6, Bb6, and F#7. This allows the key signatures of C, F, and G major to be performed.

The note range for the Soprano Glockenspiel is C6 to A7, and includes Add-on bars F#6, Bb6, and F#7. This allows the key signatures of C, F, and G major to be performed.
