perfect!

I play viola and guitar and this is a nifty little stand and plus it folds up! It's great for traveling and it has these little things that hold your paper in!!!!

A few complaints.

The lock that holds the telescoping middle part doesn't lock all the way and slips often. Also, the page holders are behind the book, so you have to prop the book up on top of the page holders to get the pages behind them. As a result, the weight of the book rests awkwardly on the hinges of the page holders instead of the bottom ledge as intended. If your book is narrow enough it won't be a problem, but all my standard sized books don't fit. Lastly, the top portion sits in the stem portion loosely and slips right out if you pick it up by the top. Other than that it's O.K..

    I could never use this anywhere but my home. That being said it's easily knocked over even at home but it was very cheap and I play with several bands and we always rehearse at my home so I was trying to make it so no one needed to bring anything.
