This rack works well with the 5 rackmountable units I have installed, giving one rack-space gap between them for plenty of breathing room. Great product!!
I would buy this product again

use in home studio for outboard gear
Nice compact rack for small amounts of outboard gear

Perfect for my needs which don't require large amounts of outboard gear. Since most processing is available with plugins, outboard gear is not as essential for today's home studio. This fits easily into a compact space and has more rack space than I'll probably ever need to use. I do like having 2 or 3 external processors for my hardware recording needs to accompany my software processing. But I didn't want to buy a large metal rack that would need a large footprint in my studio. This one fits nicely under my desk and allows me easy access to my gear. The slight slant makes it easier to reach the controls of a device that is closer to the bottom of the rack. Finally, the black carpet exterior makes it pleasing to the eyes.
Nice Rack!

Nice Rack, lol Meets quality, price and value points on target. Literally perfect with the small exception of the product logo plate was upside down. I'm trying to imagine someone, that stoned that could miss something so obvious. I would recommend this product. I'm using it to mount my guitar processors, lighting, power distribution and power amplifier. It's lite, stable and portable - that's exawhat I needed...
Well Designed, Functional, and Attractive

I have been using the 12-rack-space version of the Odyssey Carpeted Studio Rack for a couple of weeks now and am very pleased with its performance. It is well designed, very solidly constructed, and totally functional. I need only five rack spaces for now, so the bottom portion of the unit serves as a very handy bookcase for storing all of my owners manuals and other reference material. The overall height of the 12-space unit--25.5 inches--is perfect for my 1402 mixer. While a unit made of black-painted plywood and covered in black carpet may not sound particularly attractive, the rack is actually very much at home in my living room studio. It looks great! I am very pleased with my purchase and recommend the Odyssey Studio Rack without reservation. It is an outstanding product!

How many rack spaces is the regular unit? The larger unit is 12 spaces but there is NO indication of how many rack spaces the regular unit is and the pictures appear to be the same.
I apologize for the confusion. It's 8 spaces.submitted6 years ago

There are two models. Twelve space and regular. I get the twelve space but how big is the regular?
The regular is an 8 space.
