So I used my friends brand new one to know whether I'd like it before I bought it and I loved it. As of right now mine has not yet come in, which is my only downside to this, but the tone is amazing, it stays in tune well, i'm not too sure if he kept the strings it came with default but if he did they're some really good solid strings. Tunes well and it feels really nice. Neck feels a little bigger than a standard tenor, I may be wrong but it certainly is a good ukulele. Bottom line, I absolutely would recommend this

Not my favorite, but I'm breaking in the strings. If you are looking to invest in a first uke that isn't novelty I would direct you towards a fender montecito unless you are specifically looking for a bright bright bright sounding uke. It does have a bigger neck feel than my other tenors which takes getting used to.
