Compact Design With Studio-Grade Power

The RME Fireface UCX II delivers a professional audio interface in a half-rack format—perfect for compact studio and mobile rigs. It offers 40 channels of analog and digital I/O over USB 2.0, including mic/line inputs, ADAT, AES/EBU, SPDIF, MIDI and word clock. All analog outputs are DC-coupled, enabling control voltage output for modular synths and creative routing. With plug-and-play installation for Windows and Mac, this interface is ready to handle your workflow right out of the box.

Mic Pres, SteadyClock FS and Stand-Alone Flexibility

The UCX II includes two high-performance mic/line combo preamps and two instrument-ready line inputs on the front panel. RME’s SteadyClock FS technology reduces jitter to deliver transparent AD/DA conversion across all formats. The unit also offers full stand-alone functionality, allowing you to configure settings, save up to six presets and operate entirely without a computer—ideal for mobile setups or field recording.

Direct USB Recording and Live Playback

DURec lets you record and play back directly from USB storage devices, transforming the UCX II into a standalone multitrack recorder or virtual soundcheck tool. Capture full shows, rehearsals or sessions on the fly, then route any combination of channels for playback—even with no computer attached. The rear USB port also supports connection to RME’s ARC USB remote controller for hands-on operation.

TotalMix FX and Remote Software Control

With RME’s TotalMix FX DSP mixer, you get unlimited submixes, advanced routing, and onboard EQ, dynamics, reverb and delay—latency-free on every output. TotalMix Remote extends control across Mac, PC or iPad, letting you adjust your entire mix wirelessly via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. DIGICheck analysis tools are also included for precision metering and signal diagnostics.

Class Compliant Mode for Universal Compatibility

The Fireface UCX II supports both USB 2.0 and Class Compliant operation. In CC mode, it works plug-and-play with macOS, Windows and Linux—no driver installation needed. It’s perfect for fast integration with tablets or modern OS platforms while still offering high-performance routing and mixing through TotalMix FX when using the full RME driver suite.

Included Software Bundle for Production and Performance

The Fireface UCX II includes a powerful software bundle to get you creating right away:
• Ozone 10 Elements – Full license, all-in-one mastering tool
• True Sound Drum Pack Sampler – Premium drum sound collection (ZIP file)
• S Gear Amp Simulation Software – Full license, amp simulation plugin for guitar
