…and everything, searching for a sweet spot, and m happy to report that these clever inventions do indeed have a sweet spot, nice harmonics and the are super responsive, articulate and dynamic and are a please to play, especially boppin' along Denver's front range in the fast lane, windows down, Olodum or Timbalada blasting…praise God! Seriously though…. I bought two clear heads w/ the snap on snares, then I bought the brown opaque heads (mid and low w/ snares). The mid has a fuller timbre not unlike the difference between synthetic snare and animal hide tone. The low head lacks a singing tone but I've definitely played drums that sound worse. In any case, they are perfect for Brazilian batacada music, plenty loud and sound and feel is indistinguishable from high-end, fine instruments from musica brasiliera,(that is, the repinique, Caixa, etc.) w/ & w/out the snares. And that is with a 7 gallon bucket!!! Bah ha ha ha…love it! THANK YOU REMO! and GC… Finally, I took a couple of pie tins and glue-gunned a 3" chamber inside the 7 gal bucket loosely filled with B-Bs and little trinkets so they could slide around when then head is struck. The result is a funky, kinda dirty Caribbean sound, perfect for calypso, merengue, songo, samba and of course R&R, etc.. it sounds and plays soooo nice Anyhoo… that's my two cents
