I installed this in my MIM Telecaster. It sounds great. I liked the sound of my telecaster with the stock pickups since they are darker than a regular telecaster but I couldn't stand the hum under high gain. These get rid of the noise just like a regular humbucker guitar and sound great. They are actually brighter than the MIM pickups and there's a little less bass but the tone is balanced and smooth. I like the attack of a telecaster for high gain tones and these improve the space between the notes considerably. On installation I had to cut the rubber bushings in half and use them in combination with the bushings from the stock pickups to get the pickup to sit level since the bobbin is 50% taller, but the rubber bushings provided are the same size as they give you for a normal telecaster.

I love the phrase "noiseless pickup". A noiseless pickup is a broken pickup. This pickup makes beautiful noises without the annoying hum when your not playing. I tapped it so I can get the classic hum if I want it and I do use that sound a lot. It's fun to have those options. This pu is all Tele! From twang to rock it sounds fabulous! Plenty of power and sizzle. And it looks cool too! Very consistent levels across all strings with the bar. It'll bite or it'll be smooth. Will use this thing again. I truly love it.

I loved my Squier Classic Vibe Vintage Blonde Tele before but after installing this pickup, a genuine Fender stamped steel vintage bridge, genuine Fender CTS 250K pots, and an Am. Std 3-way switch, I fell in love all over again. It still retains that vintage sound but hotter and quieter. If you like projects and you want to Hot Rod your Tele, this thing is an awesome up grade. Give it a try

I recently installed this pickup in my American Deluxe Telecaster. This pickup is full sounding and still has the Tele twang. It sounds very good played through a clean amp setting on my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. It sounds fantastic when played through a distortion pedal! It chrunches nicely, yet retains good tone and clarity. It works well with the guitars tone and volume controls. It came with very thorough instalation instructions. Seymour Duncan builds very nice products. I have always been very pleased with everything I have bought from them.
