Description
The AD30TC combo amp's Channel 1 has a thick, creamy, classic voice that barks like a Rottweiler when pushed into the tone zone. Channel 2 has a tighter, springy and slightly faster character with a little more upper mids and a bit more gain. The Orange AD30TC combo has consistently stood above the competition, as confirmed by professional users and reviewers alike. It retains the original vintage sound and uses a smooth electron emissions GZ34 tube rectifier-similar to the first original tube amplifiers made-and operates in Class A. This makes the Orange AD30TC amp a true force to be reckoned with when played alongside any 'vintage' classic and high price tag, boutique amplifier. The Orange AD30TC amp has proved to be so popular worldwide that its specs remain unchanged. The Orange AD30TC combo is fast becoming the new world standard for 30 watt Class A tube amplifiers.
The AD30TC-identical in specification to the Orange amp head-has 2 Celestion Vintage 30 speakers in an open-back acoustically designed enclosure. Orange crafts the cabinet from 13-ply high-density 18mm birch plywood to further enhance the amp's sound.
Celestion Vintage 30 speaker
The Celestion Vintage 30 Speaker recreates the sound of the original Celestion Blue with a new cone and a new coil assembly. Rated at 60W capability, the Celestion Vintage 30 handles massive overdrive tones with ease and scoffs at the extra heat generated by higher power equipment.

I've been a mesa boogie user for years tho I also have marshalls and fenders. I bought this amp on a whim without hearing it but knew I had 30 days to return it. I got it home and set all knobs to 5, plugged in a les paul jr and was just floored. I plugged in my varius les pauls and strats and all of them sounded great. Tho this amp is heavy and doesn't have reverb, I just put a holy grail in front of it and use it for all my gigs and jams. If your into that classic overdriven U.K. sound buy this, you won't be disappointed.

Pros: 30 watts. 2 distinct channels. Pre-amp is out of the circuit when the master volume is all the way up. The channels are voiced a little different from each other. Channel one is brighter and has more headroom. Channel two is 'ballsier' and a little darker. Cons: No Reverb. Price (You pay for what you get!) Review: This amplifier 'sings' at a relatively low volume (Compared to a British 100 watt 1/2 stack) so it is easier to get to the 'sweet' spot at smaller venues. I was able to get nice rock crunch as well as clean blues tones from this amp. I think this amp shines most when you drive the power tube section of the amp. Channel one is kind of AC30ish, Channel two is kind of JTM45ish ("Beano" comes to mind) The EQ section has treble bass and mid, on both channels with gain and master volume on both channels. The EQ is interdependant ie: what you do to one affects the others, and it is surprisingly potent to affecting the overall sound. I liked the sound best with the bass at 9 o'clock and the mids at 12 and the treble at about 5 o'clock. Turn up the master and set gain to taste. This amp. is by far the best built production amp I have ever seen.(I have been playing since 1972) (I was 14 then). The amp easily rates 5 stars... go buy a reverb unit if you want one. Cheers ---J---
