The PRS SE DGT Electric Guitar Gold Top delivers the tone and feel of a well-loved classic at an affordable price. Based on PRS artist David Grissom's signature model, this SE version provides players with resonant mahogany, vintage-voiced pickups, and a fast-playing neck ideal for rock and blues. Available in a stunning gold top finish, the SE DGT is a stylish, gig-ready guitar that sounds as good as it looks.

Vintage-Inspired Pickups

Taking inspiration from Grissom's Texas roots, two "S" DGT humbuckers provide smokey, vintage-tinged tone with plenty of punch. These pickups were refined over a year of testing to capture Grissom's ideal sound. Individual volume controls for each pickup and a push-pull master tone control offer versatility, allowing for single-coil-like tones in addition to the humbucker's growl.

Fast, Comfortable Neck

The SE DGT's neck features Grissom's signature DGT carve, which is slightly more rounded than a typical "C" shape for comfortable chording and soloing alike. With 22 frets and a 25" scale length, this neck is built for speed and precision. The rosewood fretboard provides warmth while PRS' renowned craftsmanship ensures an impeccable playing surface.

High-Quality Construction

As with all PRS models, the SE DGT is built to exacting standards using premium materials. A mahogany body and neck provide resonance and sustain. The maple top adds articulation and a classic appearance. PRS' patented tremolo bridge offers tuning stability and expression. All components are carefully selected and assembled for years of reliable use.

Iconic Design

From the distinctive PRS headstock to the gold top finish, the SE DGT exudes rock and roll style. Gold top guitars are forever linked with rock pioneers, and this model carries on that tradition with class. The minimal control layout and pickup selector position behind the bridge are optimized for live performance, keeping this guitar streamlined and stage-ready.

I've owned 4 other PRS models - from a 10-Top Custom 24 to the least expensive SE CE - but never really bonded with any of them. Either the necks felt too narrow or too thin - or the pickups seemed to lacked character. This guitar is in a whole other league. The neck is more reminiscence of a Les Paul... it just feels right. And the DGT pickups have a depth and fullness that I wasn't expecting. The reversed volume knobs seem strange at first - but after playing a set or two it actually makes more sense this way. As for build quality and fit & finish - this guitar is easily equal to rivals at twice the price. Don't hesitate!

Really great feel, playability and tone. No desire to change the pickups like I usually would. Glad PRS decided to produce this model.
