Paiste

collapse expand iconDescription

The Paiste 2002 Medium Crash Cymbal is a bit heavier than the standard 2002 Crash, while remaining very balanced with a full and rich tone. Nice ride sound in larger venues.

Made with CuSn8 bronze for a bright, warm, and energetic tone. Great for live and studio gigs requiring high energy and the utmost in precision and musicality. Heavier models have been added to round out the original classic series by providing increased volume.

This is by far my favorite crash I've ever played. Bright, cutting, and loud. Perfect pitch and weight for riding the crash, doesn't get too washy or gong-like.

Great add to my blended cymbal set up. Very consistent. Great attack with quick decay. Love this cymbal.

After being with another brand for 20 years, I switched over to Paiste 2002's a couple of months ago. I bought the 2002 crashes and was in the market for a ride. I listened to A LOT of clips online for different Paiste rides and surprisingly, the one that caught my ear was actually the 20" Medium crash. I love this cymbal!! As a ride the ping is clear and crisp and the wash isn't overpowering. The bell is nice and I can also play closer to the edge for a more "wash-ride" sound. The crash is huge and powerful.

what can i say, this is the best crash cymbal that I have ever bought! I got this cymbal a few weeks ago and i have already played a few gigs with it, and let me tell you, this thing is loud! It has a very dark sound but if your looking for a 'Bonhamish' sound look no further, this is your crash. also, some people claim that these cymbals break easily but i have yet to even dent this crash, and i have broken countless cymbals before so i have no idea what they are talking about. this is an extremely high quality cymbal and i highly recommend it to anyone looking for a Led Zep kind of sound

This is the best cymbal ever, I have the 16 inch one and I have had it for a while and it has not even shown signs of cracking! If it did I would certainly buy a new one. The sound is so full, rich, and resonant. I can hardly believe how inexpensive it is in comparison to a lot of other high end cymbals that probably won't sound half has good. The bonus.... John Bonham from Zeppelin used Paiste cymbals and he hit harder than almost any other drummer so that speaks for itself! Buy them!
