    I've owned Zildjian ZBT, then moved onto 14" A Customs then onto 15" A New Beat hats. The ZBT's were good for a starter set but the sound was horrible, the A Customs were too bright for my tastes and the New Beats just were not for me, I just didn't like their sound. So I decided it was time to give Paiste a try. After a lot of research I bought these Modern Essentials. It was love at first strike. These hats are so musical, it's almost a religious experience!! They aren't too bright or too dark and they don't have a big trash canny sound. They have a classic sound but modernized, if that makes any sense. They sound great open or closed, so glad I made the switch!
