  • Best Sounding Splash I've Ever Owned.

I've played multiple genres (Metal, Hardrock, Deathmetal, Blackmetal, Goth, Punk, Hardcore, Indy/Alt-Rock and Grindcore) due to session work over the years. As you can imagine I have used a lot of cymbals to fit the sound of what I was a part of. I've used entry, intermediate and professional Splashes from Zildjian, Sabian, Meinl and Paiste starting in 1997. I have heard A LOT of what was and what is out there. That being said, the Paiste Signature Reflector splash is nicest, most beautiful looking and sounding splash I have ever had the pleasure of owning. These days, I primarily play extreme music like deathmetal, grind and math-core and my cymbal set up is all Paiste. It's made up of Signature Series, Signature Reflector, Sound Formula (original line), Rude, Alpha (original line) and Twenty Custom because nothing sounds better to my ears than those lines of Paiste. I will always suggest the Paiste Signature Reflector splash, as well as the whole Signature line, Sound Formula line (if you can find them) as well as Rude chinas to anyone and everyone. Paiste make the best cymbals for rock based music. Period.
