    The older version is heavy duty and it felt like it. The newer version is lighter and thinner and still does the job. No one talks about what adapters do to the cymbal stands. Some light and medium stands dent when you use adapters(80sPearl 800). Only a few heavy weight stands scratch when you use them. (80s Ludwig, Pearl 900)

    I first used this clamp on a double tom holder. It's ridiculously sturdy and the toms are much more firmly held than with other clamps I've used.

    This multi use clamp will make a great addition to you kit. I used mine to get my toms off of the kick. Put one side on the bottom tube of a cymbal stand and use the other two clamps for toms,another cymbal or effects. Use your imagination and it will be up to the task. Super easy to use.
