I bought this thinking it's an 800 series scan and would be professional but far from it. It would tip over with a good crash hit. I'm returning it and I am seriously disappointed that pearl would put something like this out.

  • I would buy this again

The BC830 matches the other stands that came with the Pearl Export kit, which is why I got it. I put a 20" crash on it. You have to be careful about the way you swing the boom. If you make sure it's out over a leg you'll be fine. It will tip if the boom is between two legs. Physics.

  • Well-built stand at a great price

This stand is incredibly strong and well-built. Has two height adjustments and can store the boom to become a stationary stand. Does not have memory locks, however. would be perfect if the locks were included. Still is a very good deal for the price.

  • highly recommend.
