Back in the 80's I was at a drum clinic, where Chad smith from the Red Hot Chili Peppers was demonstrating his new set up and putting on a drum clinic. He had the dr80 and I thought it was pretty cool, I went back the next day to the drum shop the clinic was at and they had his set up he used for sell. Well I purchased that dr80 rack and it saved me so much time setting up for I played clubs and festivals every weekend. Well I retired after 35 years of playing and sold everything I had. Well 18yrs later I am back to playing live shows and the first thing I purchased was the dr80 rack. If you play a lot and tear down and set up yourself, this rack is the only way too go. Love it.
The only rack I would buy.

This is my second Dr-80 rack and it's the only rack I would purchase. So easy to transport and very easy to set up and very sturdy and looks amazing.
Great piece of gear.

12 years whit it and still holding, 3 crash, 2 splash, 1 china, 1 (22 inch) ride, strong. Cosmetic wear can be very noticeable, as contrary with the chrome ones, so I advice to be careful when handling it.
Fantastic hardware

I should have bought this years ago. NO MORE stands competing for floor space. This is super-sturdy. Nothing shakes or moves. Very easy to setup and maintain. Price is OUTSTANDING!

I got my DR-80 about 3 months ago, and love it. I have 3 mounted toms, 5 cymbals, stereo speakers(for monitors and practice), and a K&M Table Clamp with goose neck mic holder (for my kick mic). I have broken down my set in less than 5 minutes and ready to go into my car. The folded rack takes up about 3'w X 4'h X 6"d of space in my car, leaving plenty of space for the other pieces. Setting up is just as easy and all the mounted equipment is exactly where it needs to be without adjustments. I leave all of the cymbal boom arms attached during transport and just have to put the cymbals and toms back on when I get the rack placed where I need it. No more weaving cymbal stand legs together, and the overall appearance of my set is clean and compact. The variety of clamps available for the rack is the only limitation that I see at this point, but I have a working setup with only the PC8 clamps and the K&M Table Clamp.
All i can say is WOW!!!

This rack is by far the best one I have ever used/had. It can hold so much and fits anywhere around your drums. Plus with this you can have youre toms and cymbals wherever you need, eliminating all the stands and clutter! Well done pearl...well done

This might be an awful stupid question BUT... I have never used a drum rack system before... how do you attach things to the rack?
There are clamps that you would use that slide the cymbal arms into. This rack comes with 4, but more can be added if needed.
